Mulligans
General Mulligans
In general, since the majority of ladder play is either aggro or midrange, these are the cards you want early game so you can survive to late game to start dropping heavy minions on board.
Aggro Mulligans
Should be obvious- all these cards listed make aggro decks cry. Doomsayer and War Axe are the ones you need to get the most (for the most part). Every thing else will help you survive, but your chances of higher survival against zoo or tempo skyrocket with either of the first 2 cards I had mentioned.
Midrange Mulligans
The cards I chose here are just a mixture between what you do against aggro and control. If they begin tempoing you out quickly, brawl is a good fix to clear a board. I would also had Sylvanas to this list too so it can also help slow down tempo by making your opponent avoid playing any more creatures until Sylvanas is killed.Combo Mulligans
Now we all hate getting killed by OTK decks, but it happens. So, to avoid that with this deck, you just have to curve out with early game removals such as Bash, Slam, or War Axe, and then you want to build up armor high enough to avoid otk range. If you're luck, Ironforge Portal should drop you a nice little taunt minion to also help prevent you from getting OTK'd.
Control Mulligans
With control, you shouldn't expect too many minions on board, so just start building up armor instead of eliminating the early game. Justicar is good because you can start building up armor quicker around turn 5 or 6 depending if you have coin or not. And Yogg is good to have in your hand in a control match up because then you won't have to be digging through your deck looking for him if you are in a desperate situation.
Hey all! This is my first time uploading on hearthpwn! I’ve always had ideas about all different kinds of decks when I had first started playing in hearthstone, so please, let me know what you think! I’ve played about 20 games with this deck and I average almost a 68% win rate! It takes on early game very well and snow balls late game very well too. Iron forge portal helps add another spell to Yogg and lowers the cost of arcane giants; plus! It also makes you gain 4 armor and summon a random 4 cost minion! By all means, please try it and enjoy! 😀
