Stay away from Zephrys, Keli'dan, and the Alexs.

You'll be using your hero power turn 2 so you want a couple removal spells

Also note that you want at least one invoke card in your hand to start invoking ASAP.

Warlock has always been my favorite class as you can continually draw. This deck feels incredibly versatile and I have had success against every class. With it you will have all the cards you need to combo some crazy plays and annihilate your opponent. This guide will help you understand how to optimally play this deck and explain why Felbolt Warlock is supreme.

I am very excited to share this deck. I have decided to title it Felbolt Warlock because while it is similar to other Galakrond Warlock decks, it opts for the Unstable Felbolts where sometimes we see Mo’arg Artificers instead. Also Warlocks love their Felbolts and you will be throwing a ton of bolts at your enemy (note: Only play Felbolt Warlock if you have Golden Warlock unlocked because the Felbolt in his hand looks super OP! ok jk jk… but really, get golden warlock XD )

This deck functions very well in the current meta, seeming to have a counter for everything. It is loaded with aoe and removal spells (sacrificial pact, mortal coil, Plague of Flames, Unstable Felbolt, Nether Breath, Dark Skies, Crazed Netherwing, Keli’dan, Kronx devastation) and transitions very well into the mid to late game.  The felbolts provide even more reliable removal allowing you to keep board control while you invoke Galakrond to max. The Mo’arg Artificer is a great option as well as it combos very nicely with your other spells, but 3 damage for 1 mana is hard to beat in the felbolt. With the felbolts added this deck feels stacked to the point that no demon hunter (or any class for that matter) will be able to kill you with overwhelming aggro early on. Sac pact and nether breath are able to keep you healthy if you run into trouble, but consider saving sac pac for big enemy demons in the late game when facing demon hunters and warlocks (they have the biggest demon threat in the game). Early on you will want to be looking for your invoke cards to ramp your Galakrond all the way up. Getting those 4 powerful demons on turn 7 with a 5/2 Claw and 5 armor is a huge swing especially if it goes unanswered. We have also seen some very powerful demons added with Ashes of Outland so you’ve got a chance of getting a fancy new demon hunter demon. Into the late game you have lots of strong tools (Alexstraza, Dragonqueen Alexstarza, Kronx) each of which have huge potential to close out the game.

In a nutshell, I tend to use my hero power the first couple turns of the game and then proceed to keep the board clear (Dark skies combos with cards in hand) while invoking, giving me a huge turn 7 with Galakrond and following up with the Alexs. This seems to be the most optimal way for me to play this deck so far. However, it can be played multiple ways since these cards are powerful on their own and even a halfway invoked Galakrond can be worth playing if you are in a bind.

Honestly this is one of the most fun decks I have played if not the most fun. It really does feel powerful in the current meta. I have been steady climbing through diamond on my way to legend and have maintained close to a 65% win rate, if not slightly higher, which is great! I hope you have enjoyed learning what makes warlock and this deck so much fun.

Cheers!
