In all categories, Murspark Eel is just an incredibly good tempo card. 2 mana 2/3 body, deal 2 damage - what's not to like about this card? Aggro decks need to be stopped by a wide board of your own, hopefully some of which has taunt due to Defender of Argus.
This deck has gone severely under the radar in my opinion, as it has an incredibly good open and middle game, sporting a finisher of the elemental/battlecry package, which should be more than capable of ending games. The goal of the deck is to get ahead early and stay ahead, due to the one mana hero power that is able to synergize with board buffing cards. The big kahunas in the deck that help against decks such as cube lock, totem cruncher and sea giant, are frequently able to overwhelm the opponent with the threat of a wide, buff board or a few 8/8 or 8/9 taunt bodies. It is possible to add in hagatha, I believe, but I am not sure whether her upside is worth the danger of losing your board to her battlecry.
