Overview

This a control deck that takes advantage of C'thun, the Shattered, Y'Shaarj, The Defiler, and Tickatus, as well as a host of new demons. The main goal is to control the board as long as possible with Cascading Disaster, Dark Skies, and the Pieces of C’Thun while completing your quest. You can get cheaper taunt demons with Free Admission to corrupt Cascading Disaster and keep damage off face. Siegebreaker and Enhanced Dreadlord are your activators for Tickatus along with Twisting Nether. The win conditions of this deck come from overwhelming control/disruption with Y'Shaarj, The Defiler and Tickatus, as well as a great finisher with C'thun, the Shattered. Hold off on one Piece of C’Thun if possible for if you draw your entire deck, because you can then finish by shuffling C'thun, the Shattered and drawing for zero on the same turn.

Card Breakdown

Quest

This deck has cards familiar to Questlock players that are necessary to complete the quest and manipulate card costs. Plot Twist helps draw cards quickly, and can making finding the Pieces of C’Thun easier. When combined with the new Free Admission in place of Sense Demons, the demons in your deck can be draw quickly and played efficiently. If Tickatus does not get reduced in this process or by the completed hero power, Plot Twist can be used to search for the activators, or remove cost reductions on existing activators in hand.  The classic AoE cards are included along with the new Fire Breather to help manage more aggressive decks.

Healing

Malygos Questlock usually includes Nether Breath and Mo'arg Artificer in order to heal throughout the match, but this deck does not include dragons. So, the alternative works off of the demon synergy in the deck with the new Man'ari Mosher and the 5/5 Lifesteal tokens from Enhanced Dreadlord. Of course, Aranasi Broodmother has been included in this deck as it is still very effective with Plot Twist and now Free Admission.

Demons

Board presence from demons has been greatly enhanced by the Darkmoon Faire expansion. Namely, Midway Maniac provides a solid early drop taunt, and Ring Matron provides an immediate threat and two decent tokens from its deathrattle. The AoE from Fire Breather is particularly good with almost all of the minions being demons in this deck. With Man'ari Mosher to add extra damage and Free Admission for cost reduction, the demons in this deck provide consistent presence throughout the match.

Activators

There are several ways to activate Tickatus in this version of the deck. Enhanced Dreadlord and Siegebreaker are the main methods of activation, but Twisting Nether can be used in a pinch as well. Do not be afraid to play one of these taunt demons early to preserve health, as only one is needed to activate Tickatus.

Win Conditions

Tickatus often provides enough disruption and card burn when combined with Y'Shaarj, The Defiler to end a match early. The level of control in this deck is insane with Cascading Disaster. More often than not you can play both copies along with Tickatus before getting them back for zero from Y'Shaarj, The Defiler. However, C'thun, the Shattered adds a devastating blow in the late game if the prior two cards and your demons have not been effective enough. By maintaining at least one Piece of C’Thun in hand, you can draw your entire deck, play the final piece, and shuffle in C'thun, the Shattered to draw for zero, all on one turn. This can be combined with a Cascading Disaster or even a lucky hero power pull on Y'Shaarj, The Defiler to guarantee a clear board before dropping C'thun, the Shattered to finish the match.
