How-to Beat King Togwaggle – Dungeon Run Final Boss Guide

If King Togwaggle is what stands in your way as your final boss in your Kobolds Dungeon run then I’m hoping this guide will help you defeat him!

King Togwaggle Basic Information

  • Hero Power: Magic Candle (3 Mana) – Find a Treasure!
  • Flavor: Look out! He’s loaded with loot from failed adventurers.
  • Starting Health: 70

King Togwaggle also likes to swap decks when he’s not ruining Dungeon Runs for adventurers, but for a King's Ransom he’ll return it in hopefully the same condition.

King Togwaggle’s Deck

Togwaggle runs a Rogue and Kobold’s based deck, but mostly relies on the treasures he gets from his hero power.

How-to Defeat King Togwaggle

King Togwaggle starts out with 3-Mana, which means he’ll be able to use his hero power right away. The hero power finds any of the active treasures you can choose throughout your dungeon run (see a list here). He’s going to have access to a lot of overpowered cards and defeating him will be based on if he isn’t actively getting the ones that destroy your gameplan. The one in particular to be worried about is Scroll of Confusion. If you’re winning the game pretty handily be careful not to overload the board then lose out to the Scroll.

If that’s not enough RNG for you, it seems Rakanishu, who is the flame in Togwaggle’s head lantern, can at the start of his turn randomly cast the spell “Rakanishu” which deals 4 damage to a random enemy. It appears this isn’t guaranteed to happen and doesn’t happen at a specific time, but it’s something to look out for when you are against the King.

One of the better outcomes against Togwaggle is when he might miss on some treasures then play a Golden Kobold which could put some pretty bad Legendaries in his hand. He’ll still continue to get treasures from his hero power, but at least any of the other potentially useful ones might have been ruined.

You’ll need to be really careful when Togwaggle plays a secret, because while Evasion isn’t that bad of an outcome (unless you were going for lethal), Sudden Betrayal can destroy a couple of your minions. Watch how you position your minions if you suspect he has this secret up.

For the most part if you aren’t just getting destroyed by Togwaggle’s treasures then you can beat him up pretty effectively. He doesn’t really run that great of cards in his actual deck, so he won’t be able to prevent much damage or heal himself back up if you’ve been sticking it to him.

Good luck and I hope these tips and guide help you defeat the King of the Kobolds!

I beat this guy tonight as the final deck in a priest unique deck. Had great fun and ended with +3 spell dmg always, all unique decks chosen for cards, 2x HP.

Ended up fatiguing him by a round or two before he beat me but it was easy until the no hero power or spell can target hero stuck around for 10 rounds.
