Experimental: The deck should be considered a work in progress.
Orange with a Dragon Warrior deck which is one of the decks a lot of people expected to be strong coming out of The Grand Tournament. The deck uses a lot of the new cards you would expect like Twilight Guardian, Chillmaw and Varian Wrynn. Some of the cards that might be a bit surprising are Alexstrasza's Champion and Bash. Dragon Warrior was already a bit of a fringe deck, but now with new dragons and more tools it’s looking like it could be time for the mainstream.

If I want to add a Brawl what should I be removing?
Does Ysera have a specific purpose in this deck or can i swap him out for another dragon legendary.
You could probably swap her out for another dragon. As for ‘purpose’ I would say she adds cards to your hand in the late game so she gives you more play options while herself being hard to remove. Some of her cards can be game finishers by clearing the board or even activating Grommash which this deck only has Death Bite to do so. But it’s not 100% reliable.

Only played against fast paladin, hunters and fckng mech mage?!? didnt know this even exists anymore….meta hates me…meta hates this deck…too bad.
I prefer the Dragon Control by Lifecoach season 18. I have about 30 rank wins with Orange’s deck but stuck around rank 14 where I usually place between 5-10. I think Lifecoach has it right by replacing Grom and Alex because in Orange’s deck they feel a little out of place. This is because of the midrange game potential of the deck where you do not really need the combo as a finisher. I have clutched a couple wins via Varian + Grom but this is purely RNG.
However, my low rank may also be due to the fact that the entire meta has changed so it is harder to anticipate which card the adversary will play. Also the mulligan for this deck is completely different than standard control because of the dragon battlecries and so takes some time to get it right with the current meta.
ditch a shield block for brawl and a shieldmaiden for justicar trueheart

im 2/1 with this deck so far. Yes it is slow, but if you can shield up its almost like having 60 health so by the time they get me down to 30 health i have the board advantage.
well that was short lived because im now like 2/5… idk if im playing it wrong or not, but usually people use my cards against me or they just have too many BS taunt cards. Also getting wrekd by locks…
i have no varian and no grommash 🙁

So I added my own flavor to this deck! I took out both shield blocks, so not a lot of card draw, Chillmaw, dont have, and Varian, I like rag a little better, rag has more impact on board that turn. So for blocks i added another bash and brawl. The second bash is better vs aggro. For Chillmaw i added Justicar. I have won a lot of games because its just so hard to kill warrior with the buff. I lose one dragon but it seems like i almost always have one as an activator. So that is my two cents.+
Dude this deck sucks against any king od warlock zoo and facehunters. It’s just too slow and those decks appear over 50% of the time you will be climbing the ladder
Actually there is no one playing full face hunter atm and warlock zoo is rarely seen as well 😀
I’ll replace Dr. Boom with another dragon (Chrommagus or Nefarian, I can’t decide yet). Maybe Ragna is worth to take the slot of Grommash ? I’ll add Brawl to. Can’t wait to play it ^^
Without brawl its really hard to play.
You can swap out a fiery war axe for brawl. That’s what I did haha, it’s a really good tweak imo.
I just went 13 turns without drawing a single dragon. Including the mulligan. There was only 13 cards left in my deck at the end. And apparently all 7 dragons were crammed into that remaining part of the deck.
I lost.
I hesitate with varian. Do the minions he he throws on the battlefield get there bonuses for having a dragon in hand? Feel like he could hose twilight guardian or blow a corruptor. Maybe by that stage of the game it wouldn’t matter. Thoughts?
From my experience the loss of the battlecry is totally worth it. The number of epics Varian has put on the board for my opponent has been bonkers.
I was about to ask it too, I don’t think he is great if he does not trigger battlecries :/

By the time you play him it wont matter if you lose some battlecries. The amount of raw stats hes able to put on the field is usually more than enough to win a game on its own. Saying of course youve baited the wrath in your opponents deck by then
Brawl should be added for one Shield Block, saved me alot so far.
What anout replacing a little axe by a brawl ? It looks more efficent for me

Just got wrecked by a dragon warrior deck. They were using lots of new cards. Deck looks similar. But they broke my 7 game streak hahaha. I might look into this. My warrior control didn’t stood a chance.
Been using this deck for a few hours now. It is really great. I have no Chillmaw so i used Nefarian instead. Worked fine.
Look’s good going to try it.
