Varian Wrynn Additional Information
- Minions that are put into play by Varian Wrynn do NOT activate their Battlecry.
- Cards put into your hand by Varian Wrynn while Chromaggus is in play will produce a copy.
- Minions put into play by Varian Wrynn while Chromaggus is on the board do NOT produce a copy.
- If your hand is full, and Varian draws minions on to a board that’s not full then the minions get played.
- If the board is full, Varian Wrynn will put the minions in your hand and Chromaggus will make a copy of them.
I plan on tweaking out Alex and Shieldmaiden in favor of this card and bash. Also plan on taking Emperor T for the new hero power booster guy. I will drop all battlecry minions except the upgraded hero power guy,. Three cards on turn 10 in CW is so good. And then you can drop any minions that you get for free? Too much value not to play this guy. I do however wish he was 6/7 or 6/8

I know what you mean, but playing CW. By turn 10 Boom, Rag, even if you play alex, the BGH has already been used. I’d be surprised if by turn 10 more often than not its already been played by the time you drop this fella
imagine playing it and it pulls leeroy out, no battelycry means no immediate removal of him. That’s awesome.
Heh I told myself before reveal I was gonna get gold Varian and play it constantly. Sticking to my guns but control as it stands I will have to tweak for it to work. Patron I dont think will work with it.
I wouldn’t play it in control warrior as the deck stands now.
Purely as a thought experiment, I wonder if the pulling onto the battlefield is sequential or simultaneous. Eg. if you pulled frothing, warsong, frothing from the three cards in that order would any or both of the frothings be able to attack.
Then again, control warrior Does not play so many minions. I am sure There will be experimentation with this and we will see if it is worth the card Spot. Also consider thia: it ruins the alextrasza battlecry…
In Control Warrior this is pretty insane, finally warrior get a good card this expansion besides Bash
