Khadgar was the historical best Mage portrait. Now that we have Kel’Thuzad and a billion different Jainas that may be up for debate, but I still he’s one of the first AND coolest heroes of Hearthstone.

Thanks for your suggestions! I had considered both of those options, especially Fleethoof. The great thing with Warrior specifically is that they can discount it to 4 with Athletic Studies, which makes it a lot easier to corrupt (Brawl, Mor’shan Elite, Ringmaster Whatley all cost 5, Tent Trasher does too, etc.) and a pretty good candidate overall. Scorpid is the weaker option of the two for N’Zoth but it’s better on its own, so both work. I actually combine N’Zoth and Saurfang in that deck, since two of the best Frenzy cards are a Quilboar and a Pirate respectively and great options to resummon, so usually I don’t get to fatigue anyway, if they survive these two big boards it’s usually game over.

Deathwing is better anyway. I’m waiting for him :p

Not really related to this article, but I play off meta decks, some kind of Menagerie Warrior to be precise. I’ve been wondering if there was a good neutral beast to raise with N’Zoth. I already have decent candidates in the Dragon, Mech, Pirate and Quilboar departments, and Totem is irrelevant, but Beast is missing. If anyone has a suggestion in that regard, feel free to share.

Who else thinks that this is possibly the alternate Hero that people care least about?

A lot of people don’t like Duels? That’s news to me, Stonekeep. I have personally enjoyed the format ever since it came out and still have more fun there than I have in Arena. My only regret is that it’s a bit random.

It’s good, but I’m not a fan of cards that just do damage and have nothing on top of that. At 10 mana you will realistically have better removal options available, against minions. Before T5 it’s just a very bad card, and that alone can make a big difference in its viability. It’s good as a burst option on the opponent’s face, but other than that I’d say the 10 mana version is decent, but not GREAT.

I’d say it’s okay-ish. Its main perk is the ability to go face. As a removal tool it’s unremarkable with Rogue’s standards in mind.

It’s still a lot better than Rastakhan’s rendition of Patron. But certainly weaker than the original by a landslide. Grim Patrons were a stronger card in a time where the pool of cards as a whole was a lot weaker. I don’t see it either, but it’s not that bad if you can resurrect it with Saurfang. You get a 3/2 and a 3/3 plus Saurfang 5/4 for 7 mana and that’s not mentioning the other Frenzy minion you can resurrect.

I don’t see why people rate this a 4 stars. 2 mana 2 damage is just really really bad, which means this has to sit at least till turn 5 to be decent. And even then, it’s not that great, we have Eviscerate. I’m aware that Eviscerate is a combo but to be honest for a 2 mana card, being a combo is still more reliable/consistent than this.

People rate it 4 stars, but I don’t see it being that good. I wasn’t a huge fan of Xaril and I am not a huge fan of this either. 3/2 are pretty poor stats for 4 mana, and is the payoff _that_ good?
