The Best Class Hearthstone Legendaries - Which Class Legendary Minions Were Strongest?
I’ve been playing Edwin in Odd Rogue when the deck was first released, but cut it mostly because it was awkward to play without the Coin. With Coin, it was always great – even on T3, you could Coin + 1-drop + Edwin for a 6/6. But without Coin, you could do a 4/4 on Turn 4 at best, and only if you had a 1 mana card to play. Since you’re going first 50% of the time and then Edwin is not really that great, I’ve decided to play more consistent 3-drops.
But yeah, it just shows how powerful the card is.

I enjoyed the Control version more, but the Combo one was better, so I’ve mostly played that during my climb. Managed to get to like top 20 Legend with the deck without really trying (I don’t care about high Legend finishes because I don’t collect HCT points anyway) because I’ve played it so much.
I really liked the feeling of having answers to anything, as well as managing your resources combined with 0 mana Hero Power. I know that it often felt frustrating from the other side, but for me it was one of the most fun experiences ever in Hearthstone.
Analysis Of The Upcoming Boomsday Nerfs (Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, Aviana) And Their Impact On The Meta
Warrior started getting stronger cards right after the nerfs – in Kobolds & Catacombs. Both Armor synergies (Drywhisker Armorer, Yip) and Recruit stuff were the best things Warrior had. It just happened that Odd Warrior is better now so he can’t play most of that stuff (except Reckless Flurry, which is a staple AoE).
I’d argue that they’ve tried to give some strong Shaman cards in Kobolds & Catacombs too, but they once again went for a questionable theme (basic totems) with not much support outside of the cards added in that expansion. However, they rehabilitated themselves in The Witchwood, giving the class lots of its current staples – Hagatha, Shudderwock, Earthen MIght, Murkspark Eel.
The recent balance patches and the general class balance was quite alright. Yes, there are always weaker and stronger classes, but it’s pretty much impossible to have a fully balanced meta where every class is on the same power level.
But I might also be giving them too much credit in that department, not sure.
Analysis Of The Upcoming Boomsday Nerfs (Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, Aviana) And Their Impact On The Meta
I’ve just answered his comment, you can check out my opinion about Odd Warrior there!
Analysis Of The Upcoming Boomsday Nerfs (Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, Aviana) And Their Impact On The Meta
Quest Rogue was one of the deck’s worst matchups and that’s getting nerfed, but on the other hand, Tempo Mage was one of the best matchup and the deck is also getting nerfed. So that makes it pretty even.
Odd Warrior also loses Giggling Inventor, which is a good card, but not necessary. Warrior won’t feel the nerf as much as Token Druid for example.
However, if Deathrattle Hunters become more popular, that’s not a good sign for Warrior, since it’s a bad matchup for the deck. Togwaggle Druid is also a terrible matchup if that deck becomes more popular, Resurrect Priest is also pretty bad for Warrior.
I honestly think that overall the nerf patch will be bad for Odd Warrior, but not THAT bad – the deck should still be viable. But that’s just my educated guess, like I’ve said in the article, it’s impossible to accurately predict how the meta will look like since majority of the decks on the ladder will have to change a bunch of cards.
The Best Neutral Hearthstone Legendaries - Which Neutral Legendary Minions Were Strongest?
But I did talk about what the cards looked like before they were nerfed, in their description. Maybe not directly, but it should be very easy to understand what they did after reading. E.g. Yogg:
“His effect stopping once he dies was a massive difference, because well, he usually died after just a few spells.”
Or Nat Pagle:
“Nat Pagle was THE Legendary to craft back in the day, when his effect used to trigger at the end of your turn instead of the start.”

The original Elise wasn’t played all that much. She was only relevant in Control Warrior and for a short period of time. E.g. Justicar Trueheart was way more important in Control Warrior for a longer period of time and she barely got a honorable mention.
I have considered the new Elise, because she had more impact overall (in Control Priest before, for example, and in Odd Warrior now), but I didn’t feel like that was enough when compared to other cards on the list. I had to make A LOT of cuts, because the list would just get too long. Brann or Justicar Trueheart were the “bottom” of honorable mentions and I believe that they’re more important than Elise Trailblazer. I could consider cutting Zilliax, but that was a hard choice, since it’s a new card. I feel like so far Zilliax made a bigger impact than lots of other Legends (including Elises) have made at their peak of popularity, so that’s why it landed in honorable mentions despite being less than 2.5 months old.
You’re free to disagree with the list, though! There’s no objective metric for rating the Legendaries, especially comparing cards that were never in Standard at the same time.
Hearthstone Balance Change Announcement Coming on October 15th!
They didn’t exactly say that they aren’t going to nerf it – they’ve said that they have no plans to do it NOW (~3 weeks ago) but they’re looking at it.
I honestly hope that it gets nerfed, even just for the sake of it. Nerfs always change the meta, which is (at least for me) a big plus.

Hearthstone Patch 12.2 - Hallow's End - New Paladin Hero, Player Ranks, & Welcome Bundle!
Yes, every time some drastic changes happen to Arena (rotation, event), every run gets refunded with a new, free ticket. So if you already have a run going, play until you lose 2 times for maximum value. And if you don’t, start one, even just for the sake of starting it ๐ You will still get rewards for 0 wins and then a free ticket.
Hearthstone Patch 12.2 - Hallow's End - New Paladin Hero, Player Ranks, & Welcome Bundle!
Glinda + Summoning Portal, both stick, 5x Darkness next turn ๐
Glinda + Summoning Portal sticking is almost impossible, but hey, it activates a lot of cool combos.

Oh, sorry, didn’t notice it. Thanks, going to fix it!
Hearthstone Patch 12.2 - Hallow's End - New Paladin Hero, Player Ranks, & Welcome Bundle!
The new Classic cards are basically unplayable, so it’s probably better to NOT save them for then. Unless you already have all of the current Classic cards and just want to have them in your collection.

They can’t unless they start a new account.

Blizzcon happens early in November ever since they took a break in 2012.
Deathrattle Hunter Deck List Guide - Rastakhan's Rumble - March 2019
I don’t really think that it’s underestimated – it’s played in many Hunter decks and most of players who have ever played Deathrattle Hunter see Shaw as one of the strongest cards in the list. It’s just not necessary to play the deck, but it obviously makes it much better.
Deathrattle Hunter Deck List Guide - Rastakhan's Rumble - March 2019
You could try Stitched Tracker. Why do you hate it, though? It’s a good card.
Odd Rogue Deck List Guide - Rastakhan's Rumble - March 2019
The deck itself wasn’t updated – the title was (from September to October). It’s still the most popular Odd Rogue deck list.
We have kept changelogs in our deck guides before, but it gets messy very quickly – some decks are changed dozens of times throughout their existence in Standard (especially early into the expansion, we are changing some decks every few days).
Even Shaman Deck List Guide - Rastakhan's Rumble - March 2019
A lot of the deck lists in Boomsday Project have turned to be very similar to The Witchwood versions, despite getting new cards that were playtested at first. It seems that Boomsday didn’t have enough impact on most of the classes. Well, besides Giggling Inventor, but in that case 35-40% play rate is not a good thing.
This list is about Class Legendaries, not Neutral Legendaries ๐ I had one for Neutrals too a week before, you can find it here: https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/the-best-neutral-hearthstone-legendaries/
Standard, yes, because that was the focus of this article. But I’ve tried to focus on the previous metas too. Most of the best cards are actually from previous metas – Antonidas, Aya, Fandral, Kazakus, Mal’ganis, Raza. Even Tarim doesn’t see that much play right now and I’ve put it mostly because of how insane he was around Un’Goro / KFT, as well as early Witchwood before the Even Paladin was nerfed.
But let me know if you would rather see other class Legendaries instead, I’ll take it into account if I ever update the list.
