Saviors of Uldum Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Spoilers, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Hey man, sorry, I went on vacation on July 2nd and I’ve missed your comment.
Sadly, it’s hard to find enough time to do the reviews now π I did them when I was just helping with the site (then I mostly focused on writing articles) – now I’m working as the admin, so I have more responsibilities.
I’ve been asked about it a lot last expansion, I honestly didn’t know that so many of you liked them. I’ll try hard to find some time to do reviews – even if not for every card, at least for the more interesting ones!
BEEEES!!!
Even better – you can summon them on YOUR side of the board to attack your own Acolyte π You can target any minion (but stuff that summons always summons for you unless specifically stated).
Tavern Brawl - Blackrock Crash Week 1
No, there aren’t any more rewards – you’ve already got it all π
Impbalming
They are definitely a downside in your average deck. You don’t want to shuffle 1 mana 1/1’s into your deck – they’re dead draws in the late game. The only scenario in which they are an upside is when you play in a fatigue matchup and you turn them into more Legends with Rafaam. But that’s very specific and won’t be relevant often enough.
But without knowing more cards it’s hard to say – they might add a way to turn that downside into an upside somehow.
The Hearthstone Fire Fest-EVIL Returns July 10 - Community Card Reveals
No idea honestly, I didn’t read anything official on that matter. We’ll probably know more once the Brawl starts (so very soon).
Edit: We actually had official answer! It’s based on real-world time and starts after the first mulligan. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/cb3lmy/join_us_for_the_fire_festevil/etdh7uu/?context=3
Saviors of Uldum Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Spoilers, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Thanks for the info, release day is always hectic and I don’t want to spread wrong information by assuming things I’m not sure about π
Saviors of Uldum Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Spoilers, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Already requested it (as well as header image update) – waiting for devs to work on it. Should be ready soon (probably later today) π

I’m almost sure that we will also have Elise card, not only Hero skin.
Vanish and Mind Blast Rotate to Hall of Fame, 10 New Basic & Classic Cards Will Be Added To The Game!
It was just announced – August 6 π
But yes, the release schedule is April – August – December, always first half of the month.
Vanish and Mind Blast Rotate to Hall of Fame, 10 New Basic & Classic Cards Will Be Added To The Game!
It does not, because they didn’t announce the launch time. Only that it will happen with the next major patch :p
Rise of Azshara - Wowhead Patch 8.2 Coverage
You might have meant subjectively, because there’s nothing objective about that statement π
Rise of Azshara - Wowhead Patch 8.2 Coverage
That’s because the games are heavily connected, and WowHead (just like HSTD) is one of the Fabyte Media sites.
It’s called cross-promotion. They post stuff about HS too (e.g. when the new expansion launches).
The Winners and Losers of the Hall of Fame Announcement
My main point was that it’s not what “strictly better” means. A 3 mana 3/3 is strictly better than a 3 mana 2/3 with the same effect. 3 mana Fireball would be strictly better than a 4 mana Fireball.
But here, we’re paying 1 more mana for +1 Attack (good thing) and turning Combo into Battlecry (again, good thing). You can say that one is better than the other, but neither is strictly better.
And again, I think that they are quite similar in terms of power level. When using SI:7 vs Fire Plume Phoenix as an example, you forgot that both of them have the same stats. In this case, 3-drop is a 2/3 and 4-drop is a 3/3. How much play would SI:7 Agent see as a 2/3? It’s hard to say, but definitely much less than it does right now. If it was a 2/3, I’d say that both him and Phoenix would be on about the same power level. Same goes for the cards here, in my opinion.

Content of the pack is decided at the moment you open it, not the moment you acquire it. So yes, you will have a chance to get new cards if you wait until they’re out.
And that’s actually a good idea, I won’t open Brawl packs (or any other Classic packs I might get) for now π
Control Warrior - Shadows Post-Buff - #10 Legend (Offerrall)
Yes, it’s the same list. And it’s not really weird, because it’s by far the most popular Control Warrior build (on HSReplay it’s #1 Warrior deck by a HUGE margin).
Tavern Brawl - A Temporus Shift
Thanks for the correction! Since I’m on EU, I can’t play those Brawls right away, so I have to rely on the info other people are posting (and it’s not always 100% correct).
Tavern Brawl - A Temporus Shift
Update: Itβs the second time we see this Brawl. Comments below this one are old, but can often still be relevant!
The Winners and Losers of the Hall of Fame Announcement
It’s not strictly better. I would argue that they’re quite similar. Plague Scientist is Combo, Plaguebringer is Battlecry – the difference is big (e.g. SI:7 Agent vs Fire Plume Phoenix). Plaguebringer also has 1 more Attack.
You can argue that one is better than the other (but like I’ve said, I think they’re on roughly the same power level), but neither of them is strictly better.
Vanish and Mind Blast Rotate to Hall of Fame, 10 New Basic & Classic Cards Will Be Added To The Game!
Yes, Mind Blast and Vanish will now become Commons after rotating them to Wild. So they will be craftable.
Yes, they will. If you buy them for $49.99 π It’s a pre-purchase deal.
