Saviors of Uldum Card Reviews #1 - Plague of Death, Puzzle Box, Corrupt the Waters, BEEEES!!!, Armagedillo And More!
No no, you got it wrong. You can trigger overkill only on YOUR turn, so if your opponent has let’s say Ticket Scalper on board and you trade into it, it’s not his turn, so his Overkill effects won’t trigger. See my other comments for better explanation.
Saviors of Uldum Card Reviews #1 - Plague of Death, Puzzle Box, Corrupt the Waters, BEEEES!!!, Armagedillo And More!
No, I’m sure that’s how Overkill works. It has nothing to do with attacking, otherwise Overkill spells would make no sense (since you can’t “attack” with spells). Official description for the keyword (you can check it out yourself in game – just hover over an Overkill card in your collection) is “Deal excess damage on your turn for a bonus.”
It just has to deal more damage than enough AND it has to be on your turn. Those are the only two conditions. And both are met in this case. Overkill minion deals excess damage to Bees AND it’s on your turn.
And if you still aren’t sure, here’s official confirmation that it will work like that: https://twitter.com/LegendaryFerret/status/1149503025934823429?s=20
“Also, I believe the effect will be similar to Unleashing the Hounds + attacking from left to right. So I guess a similar combo with Dire Wolf Alpha will work.”
This one I’m not sure about. I THINK that the minions will attack from left to right, one at the time, but I don’t think that their death will resolve before the spell fully resolves. So I think that they will all attack, one by one, and THEN they will die. So Dire Wolf Alpha might only buff the left-most one and that’s it. I left that combo out of the review, because I was not 100% sure about it. It’s a pretty unique mechanic, we didn’t have anything like that in game yet, so we’ll have to learn how exactly it works once it’s out ๐

Yes, it was usually 2 streams – one at the start (shorter/smaller one) and one at the end (bigger one, with lots of cards shown and a final card dump right after). I would be really surprised if we didn’t get the second one.
I’ve seen it! But the entire issue has been overblown in my opinion. Most of people were supportive of Toast. There were some haters, but they were a minority. And even haters were mostly mad at Blizzard for giving the card reveal to someone who doesn’t play the game anymore and not at Toast for having it.
I don’t blame him for not wanting to reveal the card, he’s playing TFT for a while now after all. But I also don’t blame Blizzard for giving him one – that’s smart marketing. A popular HS streamer revealing a card won’t bring any new audience (because they already watch him for HS). And Toast could bring a part of his TFT audience back to HS. And to be honest, I don’t think it’s entirely about not being comfortable with the state of the game. Rise of Shadows was the most progressive expansion in a while and from what I’ve seen the game is heading in the right direction once again. It’s just that you can’t always play the same game forever and still have fun. It’s natural, but some people just don’t understand it. A casual player can play a few hours per week and that’s it – a streamer/content creator has to play the game for HOURS every single day, so much that he can become sick of it (it happened to me too in the past). At one point you treat it only like a job, not something you do for fun. And then you find a new game and start having fun again – of course you want to switch and see the previous one as something bad. But it’s not always the old game that’s bad, but a player that’s burned out of it.

Yeah, there’s a stream featuring League of Explorers voice actors today (from Comic-Con). They will PROBABLY reveal the 4 Legendaries (Explorers). Maybe some other cards too?
But I’m quite surprised that they don’t run the usual initial reveal stream with some HS personality. Those are always fun to watch!
Tavern Brawl - Blackrock Crash (Week 2)
I didn’t really have a problem beating it with Rafaam, but honestly, it was the least fun class for me. Like you’ve said, your hand is clogged all the time, there is no resource management at all, you’re never afraid of running low of cards or anything. Most of the buckets also weren’t really fun. Lots of cards that are too slow (no, I don’t need Lich King or Rin when playing Rafaam) or just bad (like healing bucket – you don’t really need healing in this format).
So while I wouldn’t say “hard” (if you’re lucky enough you could win with just Hero Power, which can pull big minions from your opponent’s deck – I pulled Molten Giant on T2 against Ragnaros and that was basically game over, for example), but – at least for me – not very fun.

Apparently, Rogue’s Plague card was changed shortly before the release, because it didn’t fit into the class identity (and it would be silly to directly contradict themselves right after releasing a big blog post about class identity). AoEs are supposed to be Rogue’s weakness (hence Vanish rotating out to HoF), and while we don’t know what Plague card Rogue initially had, it’s safe to assume that it was some sort of AoE removal.
Card Reveal Schedule for Saviors of Uldum
Yes, it’s always a part of the art. Sometimes it’s clear who the card will depict (e.g. the last one is Togwaggle), other times we just get a small sneak peak (like someone’s hand/foot/etc.).

Hey man, sorry, I went on vacation on July 2nd and I’ve missed your comment.
Sadly, it’s hard to find enough time to do the reviews now ๐ I did them when I was just helping with the site (then I mostly focused on writing articles) – now I’m working as the admin, so I have more responsibilities.
I’ve been asked about it a lot last expansion, I honestly didn’t know that so many of you liked them. I’ll try hard to find some time to do reviews – even if not for every card, at least for the more interesting ones!
BEEEES!!!
Even better – you can summon them on YOUR side of the board to attack your own Acolyte ๐ You can target any minion (but stuff that summons always summons for you unless specifically stated).
Tavern Brawl - Blackrock Crash Week 1
No, there aren’t any more rewards – you’ve already got it all ๐
Impbalming
They are definitely a downside in your average deck. You don’t want to shuffle 1 mana 1/1’s into your deck – they’re dead draws in the late game. The only scenario in which they are an upside is when you play in a fatigue matchup and you turn them into more Legends with Rafaam. But that’s very specific and won’t be relevant often enough.
But without knowing more cards it’s hard to say – they might add a way to turn that downside into an upside somehow.
The Hearthstone Fire Fest-EVIL Returns July 10 - Community Card Reveals
No idea honestly, I didn’t read anything official on that matter. We’ll probably know more once the Brawl starts (so very soon).
Edit: We actually had official answer! It’s based on real-world time and starts after the first mulligan. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/cb3lmy/join_us_for_the_fire_festevil/etdh7uu/?context=3

Thanks for the info, release day is always hectic and I don’t want to spread wrong information by assuming things I’m not sure about ๐

Already requested it (as well as header image update) – waiting for devs to work on it. Should be ready soon (probably later today) ๐

It was just announced – August 6 ๐
But yes, the release schedule is April – August – December, always first half of the month.

It does not, because they didn’t announce the launch time. Only that it will happen with the next major patch :p
Rise of Azshara - Wowhead Patch 8.2 Coverage
You might have meant subjectively, because there’s nothing objective about that statement ๐
Thanks!
Read my comments below for the Overkill explanation. Long story short, it WILL work, because Overkill effect has nothing to do with attacking, only dealing excess damage.
