Masters Tour Onyxia's Lair Guide - Two Free Packs From YouTube Drops - February 17-19
Makes sense, I just had some issues with drops from the mobile YT app. I remember watching some Masters Tour last year for over 2h on the phone and didn’t get the drop. But then when I watched it on PC it arrived immediately. Might have just been me, though ๐
Masters Tour Onyxia's Lair Guide - Two Free Packs From YouTube Drops - February 17-19
You can technically leave your PC up over night and running the stream, but I’m not sure if the cost of electricity won’t surpass the value of packs, hahah.
But yeah, sadly one of the regions will always be screwed with the timing and for Onyxia’s Lair it’s EU.
(Updated) Patch 22.4 Known Issues - No Quest/Honor Progression, Rogue & DH Achievements, Tamsin's Phylactery And More
Thanks for sharing!
Just keep in mind that doing those right now won’t automatically finish them once they’re added ๐
Nozdormu the Eternal Deck Lists - How to Finish Nozdormu Day Quest - June 15, 2023
Really? Sorry to hear that. I usually finish those Quests like 1-2h after dailies are added and face 1-2 Nozdormu matchups every time (in Casual). I think that the later you try to finish Nozdromu Day quest, the lower your chance to find a Nozdormu matchup. After someone finishes the Quest, they usually no longer play a Nozdormu deck.
Patch 22.4 & Onyxia's Lair Mini-Set Are Now Out! (On PC & Mobile)
It’s a bug, I’m posting “22.4 known issues” right now! You’re kind of right about the “far future”, although maybe not THAT “far”. They will be added in 22.6, which should drop in a few weeks.
Shop Update: Two Constructed Skin Bundles, New Battlegrounds Board, Four Mercenaries Bundles
It’s already better than it was a few weeks back, we had some ATROCIOUS offers. Like we had 600 Coins for over $20 and stuff like that. I guess they’re testing price points and trying to find out at which one people will buy Mercenaries stuff.
I think that those offers are no longer THAT terrible, but a bigger issue is that packs get pretty much useless after you already reached “late game”. If you have most of Mercenaries maxed out and a new one launches, you will never see Coins for that Merc, you will get dupes for the ones you already have maxed and that’s useless. They need to do something to Coins for maxed Mercs ASAP. I’m waiting for some changes before I come back to the mode, but I’m less and less interested each week.
Nozdormu the Eternal Deck Lists - How to Finish Nozdormu Day Quest - June 15, 2023
You should probably double-check the comment date ๐ Casual was bugged, yes, but it was back in October.
(I know that I’m also responding a month late, haha)
Cora Teases "More Board-Oriented Gameplay" Between The Next Expansion, Core Set and Standard Rotation, Onyxia's Lair Designed With Future in Mind
That’s true, Questline Warlock will be hit really hard. Not only Backfire – I think that losing Flesh Giant will be the biggest deal. After all, it’s the deck’s main win condition before they finish their Quest – no longer having to deal with two (or more if Raise Dead got lucky) cheap/free 8/8’s is going to be a big deal. Also Raise Dead – currently it’s one of the best ways to progress the Questline while also putting the same overpowered minions back in their hand after you’ve dealt with them once. Yes, the deck is going to hurt a lot.
I think that OwlTK Warlock might be a bigger ‘problem’, as it’s already solid right now and I don’t think that any important part of the combo rotates out (School Spirit does, but you can replace it with another AoE like Hellfire – assuming it stays in Core).
But the truth is that – like always – rotation changes so much that it’s impossible to predict what’s going to happen. That’s why I’m cautiously optimistic like I’ve said, because devs already test the cards from next expansion in a new environment that we have no access to. And I don’t even think that having some combo decks in the meta would be a bad thing, as long as they don’t dominate.
22.4 Patch Notes - Onyxia's Lair Mini-Set, Diamond Vanndar, New Battlegrounds Heroes, Mercenaries Event And More - Coming Out February 15, 2022
Tbf this doesn’t add more animations, it just replaces the currently existing one with a different one. There’s already a “damage dealing” animation in Battlegrounds, those will just look fancier.
Alterac Valley Mini-Set Teaser - Lady Katrana Prestor/Onyxia? - Announcement Tomorrow
If you’re joking then I don’t get it :p
(Update: Live Now!) Patch 22.2.2 Is Coming Out Today! Big Battlegrounds Balance Changes, Duels Update & Hotfixes
Sorry to hear that, I thought they already fixed it :/ The workaround didn’t work for you?
Patch 22.2.1 Is Now Out! Small Battlegrounds & Duels Hotfix - Nerfs to Tarecegosa and Millificent's Buddy, Buff to Drakonid Enforcer, Duels Treasure Update
That’s correct! One tier higher usually means 1-2 more turns to get the buddy, depending on the exact situation of course. T4 buddies are the “slowest” and usually come online only around Turn 7-8. And that also – obviously – delays the Golden buddy. Golden T4 buddies are really, really late.
It will keep the Millificent late game comps revolving around Golden Bomb come online some time later, so opponents will have more time to react and build their own big boards or possibly try to counter it a bit.
Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks - Fractured in Alterac Valley Week 8 - January 2022
You’re right, that might be a part of it. There are some people jumping between modes depending on which one gets more attention at the time, but there’s a lot of Constructed-only players who don’t care much about Battlegrounds (and, of course, vice versa). So it was still a bit weird. Hope we get more after the mini-set ๐
(Updated) Patch 22.2 Known Issues - Mobile Release, Disappearing 1000 Wins Portraits, Battlegrounds Leaderboards, Issues With Shop And More
Nah, it should buff both adjacent minions, so it’s definitely a bug.
Blizzard Is Looking For Talent For Their New, Unannounced Survival Game
From what I’ve heard, it was already planned pre-Microsoft. Acti-Blizzard is still operating independently until mid-2023, and while I’m sure that they’re communicating closely with Microsoft, most of the stuff you see right now was already in plans for months before the acquisition talks even took place.
Given that the game is only in the planning stages, though, most of the development should take place under Microsoft already so the final product will 100% be influenced by the company. I also think that it might be an Xbox/PC exclusive because they most likely didn’t make any commitments to Sony (or Nintendo) yet.
Blizzard Is Looking For Talent For Their New, Unannounced Survival Game
I get what you mean, but I don’t think it’s that easy. The thing about game dev is that throwing more devs at a game won’t necessarily make it come out quicker. From my (I have to say quite limited) experience, adding too many devs to a project might even slow things down. For example, multiple devs trying to work on the same part of the code might be faster, but it will probably result in way more bugs that could take even longer to fix. You know, like in the saying “too many cooks spoil the broth” ๐
I’m not really following Overwatch 2’s development, but it looks like Diablo IV is progressing quite nicely. I’m looking at their quarterly updates and things look promising. And this one is clearly in super early stages, like they’re only creating the game’s world, story, basic mechanics and so on. Sending those devs to Diablo 4 or Overwatch 2 team wouldn’t do anything. I can imagine that by the time they actually start working on the game itself, Overwatch 2 will already release and Diablo IV will be close.
Huge Shop Update: Constructed, Battlegrounds & Mercenaries Bundles (Including Diao Chan Valeera and Bartender Fizzy for Gold) + Free Card Back
I’m really happy that they went and updated an old portrait and added a card back even for people who purchased it in the past. I hope that more old portraits (without unique animations etc.) will get some more love.
History of Class And Archetype Popularity Since Whispers Of The Old Gods (Official Data)
It’s for Standard, I should have probably made it more clear.
History of Class And Archetype Popularity Since Whispers Of The Old Gods (Official Data)
Yeah, we don’t know what ranks those data is from, but it’s safe to assume that depending what ranks you were playing, the meta could have been quite different.
When it comes to whether the deck is oppressive or not, there are a few more factors like deck’s win rate and play style. For me it’s also whether I like to play a given deck or not – when a deck I don’t like dominates it feels much worse, obviously. Data is one thing, but feelings will always be subjective ๐
By the way, what I would like to see is a win rate chart on top of the popularity chart. That would be A LOT more data, and probably wouldn’t fit nicely into a graph like that, but I would genuinely like to download a spreadsheet and go through it, even if just out of curiosity.
Yeah, that’s true, it has a limit on resummons to prevent some potential game hardlock. But like Purebalance already said, Bladestorm stops after a minion dies, so it can’t kill it multiple times. The likes of Defile/Spammy Arcanist have a higher limit than Wax Rager I think, so Wax Rager can be killed by those (although I think that it’s pretty unintuitive).
