Mage has 3 viable decks:

– Highlander Quest Mage

Rogue has also 3:
– Odd Rogue
– Kingsbane Rogue
– Aggro Rogue
– (Highlander Rogue, Big Rogue)

Warlock has also 3
– Mecha’thun Warlock
– Cube Warlock (3 versions)
– Darkest Hour Warlock
– (Reno Warlock, Egg Zoo Galakrond Warlock)

Warrior has 3 aswell
– Galakrond Warrior
– Pirate Warrior
– Odd Warrior
– (Bomb Warrior)

Druid has 3:
– Jade Druid (many versions possible)
– Embiggen Token Druid
– Malygos Druid
– (Linebreaker, Togwaggle, Star Alinger Druid)

Shaman only has 1:
– Even Shaman
– (Highlander Shudderwock Shaman)

Priest has 1:
– Reno Priest (multiple versions possible)
– (Quest Highlander, Combo Priest)

Paladin has 2:
– Mech Paladin
– Odd Paladin
– (Aggro, Secret Paladin)

Hunter has 1:
– Reno Hunter
– (Mech Hunter)

I even see standard versions of Galakrond Rogue and Embiggen Druid perform reasonably well in de Wild format.

It is easy for people to take one of the decks above, master it and become legend in wild. And only for 5 to 8k in dust.

And looking at the new set, I think Paladin and Hunter will catch up for sure in the number of viable decks. And Warlock gets another. And maybe Demonhunter will join the fun.

In Wild you can play whatever you want, but the environment is more about skill and knowledge of the Meta. There is more diversity than in standard. In standard only Dragon Hunter, Embiggen Druid and Galakrond Rogue were played on the ladder before HoF rotation. In Wild there are a lot of Mages, but Even shaman beats them all, Embiggen Token Druid aswell… But they get eaten alive by Cube Warlock and Jade Druids… Who in turn are helpless against Quest Mages etc, etc…

You mean Wild!!! Because they do not leave Heartstone. They are already part of and not that much used in the format they are being locked in…

Not only new cards and new possibilities but also nerfs decided which class was strong and which decks were allowed. Hopefully they let the meta more be next year.

So techcards can shine. Steal weapons, destroy armour, disrupt battlecries, cast spells, etc…

Decent playtesting is mandatory…

They probably (have to) make sure the Meta will be different. These 3 (-6) decks have had their time for the last 3 months. I think more is rotating out (or rotating in) like a the whole basic or Classic set. Announcements and a storm are coming…!!

So this is a plea for less nerfs… Because we need time to discover and finetune decks…

Tech cards are screaming for time aswell…

They can make a difference. But not in times of change..

Highlander Hunter and Rogue still very strong… Versatility wins…

True… But from a curious petspective I would love to be bloem away by something ridiculous…

What I am very curious about is which strong decks they playtested that where not yet explored by the community…

There must be some very strong interactions not yet discovered…

Like you said. Experimentation is far from over. Met a lot of Reno Hunters along the way… Won every match, but I bet they beat a lot of others….

Embiggen Druid has the best start in the game, but have to be lucky…

Devolve is the best answer to everything indeed.

If you want to outrace Mega’ Thun Warlock you need it…

Just went up from 5 – Legend with a new and improved Even Shaman. Lost only a couple of times and only to Secret Mage. Stole/borrowed the list from nr. 1 Legend in China…

Nerfing something before the Meta had setteled is never a good idea. As we have learned in the past. You probably have to do it again.

Not communicating about it is even worse. And disrespectfull to the whole playerbase.

From people saving dust to get their hands on the best cards or the one deck they can afford, to pro-players preparing for a tournament.

While it is so easy. And rewarding when you do..

Prepare 2-3 days of Meta in one day? Good luck…
