KotTF will rotate out when the first expansion of 2019 is released for the new Hearthstone year. This will presumably be April 2019 as that’s when Old Gods and Witchwood were released.

I always enjoy reading these types of articles, especially the way HS Top Decks presents it. It’s funny how many of these I’ve opened in packs. I even have a golden Dr. Morrigan from the Boomsday pre-order.

You’re right. I was thinking of Silver Sword. I should’ve realized a Hearthstone Top Decks reader wouldn’t have made such a mistake when asking the question. 🙂

Unfortunately, you can’t run Sword of Justice because it’s 8 mana and this deck can only use odd cost cards. However, it might not be that great anyway because Even Paladin decks are cutting it in favor of other cards.

It can be a finisher in some games. I have a 70.6% win rate over 34 games. I’ve played Leeroy 9 times and have a 77.8% win rate when played.

I have a premium HS Replay account, which is where this data came from. I’ve been bouncing between ranks 3 and 2 with this deck.

The guide was just updated earlier today (or late yesterday). It also looks like the Spiritsinger Umbra was removed from the omissions section.

Great guide, as always. One suggestion is that you may want to remove Spiritsinger Umbra from the omissions section as it is now included in the deck.

It sounds like each deck is chosen based on win rate and possibly other factors, such as not relying on dragons on the case of this deck. Makes perfect sense. Thanks!

I have a curiosity question–how do you decide which deck to feature for the guide? I noticed when just the deck was updated, a different Spiteful Druid deck was featured (I believe from MrYagut). This list appears to be the one that Dean Ayala posted on Twitter.

These are the two most popular Spiteful Druid decks per HS Replay. MrYagut’s version has a 58.9% win rate across 61,000 games. Ayala’s version has a 63.3% win rate across 41,000 games.

I’m with you. I’m sitting on 8,800 (8K from HoF). I’ve learned from crafting cards in the past like Don Han’Cho from the early Gadgetzan days.

Right now, I’m trying to resist the urge to craft Baku.

I would wait. The first couple of days of a new expansion, especially with a rotation is in flux. If you’re not bursting at the seams with dust, I’d wait a couple of weeks before crafting epics or legendaries. Or anything if you’re really tight on dust.

Great article! Regarding Deathstalker Rexxar, Mike Donais stated on Reddit that his beast pool will be updated once The Witchwood is released. It will be updated to include beasts from Kobolds and Catacombs and The Witchwood.
