Hearthstone Arena Tier List: Best Arena Classes and Strategies (Festival of Legends + Audiopocalypse, June 2023)
Asides from once again requesting a change log for such articles, you should delete (or archive, or mark) comments that were posted to older versions of the article.
It’s a litte … irritating to read through them, only to raise eyebrows, only to look at the date they were posted, only to find out they are referencing to an older version of the article. ๐
Tess Greymane Change to be Reverted (June 8th), HCT Seoul Deck Submission Update
I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with Tess.
Just saying that if Blizzard thinks it should align I’m fine with that. But they should execute that ‘alignment’ in a consistent manner (= official nerf, full dust). ๐
Tess Greymane Change to be Reverted (June 8th), HCT Seoul Deck Submission Update
I don’t see any problem with Tess ‘aligning’ with the other mentioned cards. They just needed this to do as they did with Yogg – call it a nerf and give full dust refund.
There is inconsistency only in how they executed the change.
Hearthstone Legendary Crafting Guide (Standard) - United in Stormwind
A change log would be a wonderful thing for such ‘long term updated posts’.
Otherwise, thanks for the update. ๐
How Good are the Taverns of Time Exclusive Arena cards?
Any information on how often those cards will be offered or if they will have any appearance bonuses?
Hearthstone Epic Crafting Guide (Standard) - Scholomance Academy - September 2020
To My Side! … from zero to hero.
I should search for links regarding the shitstorm that card received. But I’m one lazy dude. ๐
And +1 to ‘the end is missing’: It’s missing.
The Hearthstone Single-Player experience: What do we really want?
I totally agree with you – cards on average are expensive within HS and the amount of dust you get for … dusting is ridiculously low.
One has to point out that on the other hand, the advantage of this system is that there will most likely never be something like totally busted super overprized chase cards.
All cards cost the same (within their rarity that is) and you don’t have a ton of totally useless cards you don’t get anything for (I’m looking at you, MtG).
Upcoming Balance Changes: Nerfs to Naga Sea Witch, Spiteful Summoner, Dark Pact, Possessed Lackey, Call to Arms, and The Caverns Below!
Wow. I have to admit – didn’t think Blizzard was capable of doing such cautios nerfs. Maybe, over time, they’re getting better and better at their job. ๐
If I could make one thing different, I would’ve nerfed Dark Pact to 2 Mana restore 5 life and kept Lackey as is. But maybe this might’ve been to few of a nerf to keep Cubelock at bay.
So now just hope that the meta will get more diverse. Would be great but I’m not very optimistic about it.
Balance Changes Planned for After HCT Playoffs (End of May)
@Thrombin: If buffs don’t really solve anything … then why on earth should nerfs?
My issue is that the meta didn’t change for months. That The Witchwood expansion doesn’t really exist. That Blizzard f****d up Arena. And that some nerfs won’t solve those problems.
Btw – as I wrote – I too enjoy playing the game. It’s just that it’s a litte boring right now.
And yeah – obviously if it’s fun for you to play Naga Warlock … then it’s clear that you don’t have a problem with Wild’s state right now. ๐
Theorycrafting The Upcoming Hearthstone Balance Changes - Which Cards Could Get Nerfed And How?
It might sound repetative but … just killnerf all the mentioned decks (and let’s be honest – bar a few exceptions, that’s what Blizzard does lately) and 3 weeks in the future we have Control Mage and Taunt Druid sitting at the top of the meta and everybody will complain again.
The problem is fundamental. Nerfing some cards doesn’t solve the problem, it just delays it for a few weeks.
On exception from the rule: As many players stated, Naga Sea Witch should work so that all your cards cost 5, period. By the way, to me that’s not a nerf. It’s ‘working as intended’.
Hearthstone Update 11.1 - Shudderwock & Lifedrinker Battlecry Speed Update
I only wish they would’ve sped up Spiteful Summoners’ animation, too. The reveilled card is shown like… for forever!?
Hearthstone Update 11.1 - Shudderwock & Lifedrinker Battlecry Speed Update
Strange, isn’t it? As it seems, Blizzard doesn’t count the cap as a nerf.
Apxvoid's Legend Murloc Mage (May 2018)
Sadly I miss one Book of Specters and I’ll never craft such a niche card … the deck looks superfun, though.
Balance Changes Planned for After HCT Playoffs (End of May)
New vitality is all good … but as I wrote that vitality usually lasts 2-3 weeks and then it’s usual business.
Add to that the fact that Wild is broken and Arena seems to be Standard 2.0 and you have a game that isn’t that much fun right now.
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy playing the game. But I stand with my oppinion that nerfs are and never will be a real solution.
There are lots of ideas out there – different formats, monthly bans of cards, temporary restrictions to classes … I’m not saying that those are better solutions but I think Team 5 could do better than nerfing cards. Heck, even BUFFING cards would be more innovative.
Balance Changes Planned for After HCT Playoffs (End of May)
+1 The Witchwood in general needs a buff. Such a low quality expansion.
On the other hand, things can only get better as the Year of the Raven progresses. I guess …
Balance Changes Planned for After HCT Playoffs (End of May)
Seriously … honestly I think nerfs won’t change anything. Of course there will be some new decks for like 2 weeks, but after that people will play 2-3 new op decks and everyone will complain about those decks.
I don’t have a solution (if I had one, maybe I’d be a well payed employee of Blizzard), but nerfs don’t solve the fundamental problems HS has right now.
Balance Changes Planned for After HCT Playoffs (End of May)
My bet’s on another Hex nerf. Needs to be upped to 5.

This should have been the article. Well thought out and well written.
