I would like to give it a try but I'm missing a few cards and wonder if it is worth it!

Haven't played it myself but played against it on ladder. It is definitely NOT worth it.

Mostly for fun, but Apxvoid did climb from rank 5 to legend with this deck. But he is a pro mage player so he could probably get legend with any mage deck tbh.

Pro has nothing to do with reaching legend with any deck. Play enough with any deck and you will get to legend. Saying you need to be a pro to play a “fun “ deck to legend isn’t even valid.

This deck is definitely most for fun. I didn't say anywhere that you have to be a pro to play this deck, all I said was that Apxvoid got to legend very quickly and easily with this deck mostly because hes a pro, any non-pro is just going to end up not playing this deck as wel.. That's kind of common sense.

Mage played this deck against me. I was running murloc paladin. Ez win for me on turn 6. Don't think u can climb up with this deck on ranks 5+.

Well I'd hope so. This deck is obviously just for fun; sweat a little more, guy.
Frank
Archmage or Dollmaster can be replaced by another Nightmare Amalgam. If you need to replace both of them, one Nightmare and maybe Harrison Jones, Voodo Doll or Gluttonous Ooze.

Sadly I miss one Book of Specters and I'll never craft such a niche card ... the deck looks superfun, though.

Deck is a lot of fun. Missing doll master and the weapon. Also took out mana wyrm.
Added Fungalmancer and some aoe spells.
Did play 6 games and won 5 of them, losing to a aggro deck.
Use the Murlocs to burn down and confuse them and finish off with fireballs. IMO.

Just crafted it, 5 games, 4 win on rank 7-6
Worth it, can't wait to test is on ranks 5 and up.
I think it's good because it's fresh and ppl don't know how to play against it, will prolly lose it's power in 2-3 days
TRON
I played it and climbed a little trying to jam wins to get golden hero portrait. Struggles if you can't find a 1-drop and it can fall behind against aggro. Definitely stole some wins with surprise snowball factory. Arugula and Dollmaster can be fun with Aluneth up, but I think they are win-more. Murloc Paladin is better IMO, but this is more fun b/c it's different. Different is good!

This deck is really bad. I'm not sure why it's been upvoted so many times. I've played about 10 games and won two. It's an aggro deck, that loses to everything anti-aggro and everything aggro.

Nothing to add... I loose to aggro and control 29% WR after 14 games UNRANKED!!
IMHO this decks depends on your draws and this is not a deck that deserves such good ratings.

I got legend playing only this deck from rank 5 zero stars. Got 108W / 83L.
+1 SpellBreaker -1 Dollmaster Dorian
You can also try Harrison Jones, MC tech, or another Amalgam instead. Apxvoid told on his stream that Dollmaster was pretty meme, even if it's not a bad card.
If I got time and if people are interested, I can make a guide for mulligan and matchups. Basically it's pretty hard against Even Paladin and Warlock, and you destroy Druids and Quest rogues.

I think this deck will be much better after the nerfs. All the bad mach-ups get hit.
