I suggest you to reserve a few (2 or 3) normal Alterac packs, and open them before the golden ones. Blizzard seems to “pre-generate” the cards a few packs ahead (they say it is to prevent the consequences of data losses caused by problems like a server crash). If you open the golden packs just after the mini-set launch, you could get normal Alterac cards from them. Since 10 packs don’t cover the mini-set anyway, you can buffer this out with opening some normal packs first.

Deathwing and its card back is available for real money (14,99 EUR) from 2021. dec. 5 – 2021. dec. 13.

The news about the expansion launch gain much more interest, but I think this should be mentioned somewhere, because it is a long wiated favourite for many people.

(And maybe for the record, helping the prognosis of future availability.)

Feels awful to see several players having all the new cards a day after the expansion launched, which you have to grind over the next three months, just because they can afford to pay the large sum of real money you can’t. I do not criticize them, but many of us who have to play the game actually for free, simply won’t have the chance to build any viable decks using many new cards from the beginning.

I assume _if_ there should be a full-dust-refund period, it is only logical to put it _after_ the event closed (lasting for about a week az usual). Until this, people cannot make a safe decision on dusting the card or not, and leave it full-refunded for more than a month dosen’t seem the right way either. For the golden versions, it would still be a confusing problem.
Despite this, I agree that the most consistant way would be to limit gaining the card from packs. Not comletely, since those who can’t complete the (very grinding) quests, still has to have the right to use the missing card as soon as anyone else. Maybe we shouldn’t open only the golden version from packs, which can be safely left undustable then.

By the way: is there any knowledge on people who actually got a golden version from pack?

Sorry to say that guys, but you are all mistaken and don’t even see the awesomeness and half the potential of this card. This card is, in fact, a 30+ face damage.
Just think about it: you play tha card – since it’s legendary, it comes with some cool animation and curlicued cathphrase. Then you mark all five targets, or, even worse, have to do it one by one between the shots. The come the five shooting animations, and nooo, not at once, but most likely one by one.
The sheer amount of potentially wasted playtime will just guarantee your opponent flees microsecons after this card turns up on the board.

Strange thing is, during the previous two weekends, I smoothly got my 2-2 packs in about an hour for viewing Grandmaster livestreams. But now, although I fullfilled the 4 hour yestarday, still didnt got any. Strange.

Is’nt it possible that viewing Silvermoon tour just counts in as the 2-7 week of the Grandmaster season, and you can only get 2 Phoenix packs in total?…

Isn’t is possible to attach a portrait (and a card back) to a specific deck? I heard somewhere you can do that lately.
Of course, it won’t help if you use the same few decks all the time.

As for the next mini-set: its 2000 gold price can be farmed with a bit more than 4 weeks quest, even above Level 100 on rewards track. And it will be there for month.
