Patch 22.0 Known Issues Update & Hotfix – Mercenaries XP Gain Fixed, Korrak Not Giving Full Dust Refund

While you might not have noticed it, ever since Patch 22.0 dropped, the amount of XP gained in Mercenaries was cut in half. The bug was quickly identified, and a hotfix was just rolled out. On top of the XP problem, it also fixed leaderboards (they were stuck before and didn’t update).

However, we’ve also got an update to known issues, one of which include a full Dust refund for Korrak the Bloodrager (refund is in place because the card is a Level 1 reward on rewards track with Tavern Pass active). It was supposed to last until December 18, but they cut it short on December 8 by mistake. They will bring it back in the next hotfix, but be sure to not disenchant it now, as you will get the regular 400 instead of 1600 Dust.

Interestingly enough, something I haven’t noticed is that the new Alterac Valley game board also doesn’t seem to appear in rotation. Not a big issue, I guess, but still.

I’ll keep you updated and let you know when Dust refunds for Korrak are back.

  • (Added 12/8) We are aware that the full refund period for Korrak the Bloodrager was unintentionally short. This was the result of a typo causing the period to be set to end on 12/8 instead of the intended 12/18. This is slated to be updated in an upcoming hotfix planned for this week. If you intend to disenchant Korrak, please hold on to him until that full disenchant value is reinstated.
  • (Added 12/8) We are aware that the new Alterac Valley game board does not appear to be in rotation. The team is investigating the issue.
  • (Added 12/8) The team is aware that certain card interactions are slowed while Snowfall Graveyard is active. The team is investigating the issue.

12/8 Update: We are currently rolling out a hotfix that addresses the bug causing Mercenaries XP gains to be reduced. The hotfix also provides support to fix a recent issue that caused leaderboards to stop updating.

Winter Veil hero skins are posted for the “Winter Veil Cheer Bundle.”

    Any word on this yet?

I’ll repeat my question here: Any infos about ‘full collection’ achievement being bugged as it was a while ago? I have all cards except Vanndar but over at the achievements, it says that I’m missing 2 cards from the expansion.

Regarding this: Cann I pull Vanndar / Drek’thar from packs?

Rant regarding full collection: It is so hard to spot which cards are missing within a set. Idk why Blizzard can’t integrate a ‘show cards missing for full set collection’ functionality. It would be so easy, just a simple database query …

It’s a known issue, and that’s the only thing I know. I didn’t see any updates about it, sadly.

And yes, you can pull them from packs. The faction leader you picked has duplicate protection because you already have it in Golden, but the other one can be unpacked.

But I 100% agree with your last point. Thie achievements shouldn’t only tell you that you’re missing a card or two, but you should be able to see WHICH cards you’re missing. I hope it’s something they implement in the future.

        Thanks for the answer!

I actually got Vanndar from the reward track today. πŸ˜‰

You can look for missing cards in your collection : first filter on the set you want to look at, then search for “Missing” and they will automatically appear. You will see the ones that are missing (in crafting mode) and also the ones for which you only have one copy instead of two.

I know how to filter but even if you’ve got almost all cards from an expansion it’s kinda hard to identify the ones you really need for (let’s say) the coin achievement. I remember when I wanted Diamond Ragnaros (yeah, don’t ask πŸ˜‰ ). I got most of the cards from the classic set but still wasn’t able to tell the cards I needed to craft.

It’s hard to pinpoint why it’s not clear when filtering with ‘missing’ but it wasn’t clear. One thing I’m sure about is that golden copies don’t count as part of the collection when filter ‘missing’ is set so when you have just golden copies of a card, the card is still shown as ‘missing’ when filtering.

I must admit this is a very special problem and I wouldn’t have it if I didn’t care for complete collections / the cosmetics you get from this, but it is annoying as hell. πŸ˜‰

Guys is there a expansion questline of sorts, if so I haven’t gotten one, but I do remember that one should be there to run along the honor system?

Woah, then it seems I was pretty lucky to be able to discenchant Korrak 2 days ago just after I finished the summon 50 Korrak. I didn’t even looked at the text anymore, and just dust it immediately. Presuming it was still refundable.

Imagine losing 3/4 dust after crafting it gonna be pretty bad.
Yeah, so it’s a good idea to craft Korrak, finish his achievements for free, and adding 1 more legendary to the pool of Alterac Valley neutral legendary achievements, then safely dust him again.
It took me just 3 hours to summon 50 Korrak using Deathrattle Reborn Priest, and since a lot of players still don’t know how it work, they tend to concede at the point.

However, still felt sucks to open Drek’thar in the first Legendary. It was supposed to be free.
And not be able to dust the non-golden variant is also sucks. People gonna be mad when their packs loses it’s value because they get a non-dusted card in it. Fix it Greedy Blizzard.

Same thing for me. Vanndar was the first Legendary I opened from the new expansion πŸ˜€ I wish they changed their stance about it.

Just when I thought I was alone, I then see a lot of post where people open Vanndar/Drekthar in their first Legendary. Something smells fishy. I thought it sounds good when they gave 3 free legendaries this time. But I guess it’s just a sad dream.

Blizzard will always be greedy. and that’s a fact.

Turns out it can be disenchantable now, probably fixed last update.
            But still feel cheated.

Busted in terms “if you can always mulligan them everytime”. Building a deck that relies heavily on that card and going all big minions is not a very good strategy, unless it really pays off.
I’ve seen the case, play it a lot, and suffer a lot against aggro deck and especially Spell Mage.

So. it might not be nerfed at all. But I can be wrong too.

I assume _if_ there should be a full-dust-refund period, it is only logical to put it _after_ the event closed (lasting for about a week az usual). Until this, people cannot make a safe decision on dusting the card or not, and leave it full-refunded for more than a month dosen’t seem the right way either. For the golden versions, it would still be a confusing problem.
Despite this, I agree that the most consistant way would be to limit gaining the card from packs. Not comletely, since those who can’t complete the (very grinding) quests, still has to have the right to use the missing card as soon as anyone else. Maybe we shouldn’t open only the golden version from packs, which can be safely left undustable then.

By the way: is there any knowledge on people who actually got a golden version from pack?

Golden version? I think not. It was the same with Golden Kael’thas, since it was purposely made so that any non-disenchatable cards cannot be found from packs.

They could easily make non-golden Vanndar/Drek’thar unopenable, but I think they are more lazy than unable to. Want some proof? Notice how the bugs in this expansion very similar with the last one. Legendary counts not working? Achievements not working?

Yeah, they’re lazy. Why busy working to find bugs when players can find it and report it?
