You would be doing yourself a disservice! With him in the deck, it also buffs your Corpsetakers to incredible value.

This is one of those rare times where I take a random “non meta” deck and it wrecks! I am having an easy climb so far (Ive been lazy this season, normally I always get to at least 5) and Ive gone something like 10-2

My thoughts so far…

Fools Bane (as mentioned before) is a sexy sexy card. Something that Aggro and Tempo decks have lacked was a board clear. In the meta of tokens and 3 health minions… this is so nice.

People think your playing an all in aggro… so their strategy is to counter the all in. When in all reality, we have some nice little push cards there around 6-8.

I wasnt wild about Argent Commander at first… but that bubble makes it go a lot further. Something to trade without losing, or just a nice 4 damage bump. Turns out, I really like this in the deck.

Malkorok isnt mandatory in this deck, but man has he come in handy! 6/5 is a nice body, but all the weapons in the standard atm are great! He can really push you over the edge!

Some have mentioned that you need draw, I disagree. The point has been made that tempo decks are fast and play on a curve. They force your opponent to do things they dont wanna do, over pay for a trade or waste minions potential or waste spells. Does not need card draw.

Play this on a curve. Mulligan for a curve if you can. Tempo is all about riding the best curve possible. This is an easy deck to do that with.

Bittertide Hydra, Captain Greenskin, Leeroy Jenkins, Naga Corsair, Reckless Rocketeer or Sabertooth Stalker

Yes, easy swap. The Commander obviously will be more sticky, allowing to kill minions and still be there. But Leeroy is a great sub.

Infested Tauren would probably be the most simple replacement for him. Offers the deathrattle and is a pretty nice sticky minion.

I also think Jade Chieftain would be a nice replacement too… filling the high mana cost, and good value. You should be able to produce a fairly high Jade Taunt with all the jade in the deck.

Earth Elemental… nice fat minion with taunt.

Fire Elemental, nice stats, and good tempo swing.

Blazecaller, for the same reason as Fire Elemental. Only… blaze is a bit harder to play… but far more rewarding.

If it were me… I would go Jade Chieftain or Fire Elemental.

I would argue that she is pretty important to the deck… as its one of two cards that are making the deck Highlander. Kazakus by himself isnt enough for me to make a Highlander deck… but Inkmaster might help. Obviouslty nice tempo.

There are no words for what I just read! Patches, if Im not mistaken, tends to be one of the most, if not THE most used Legendary in tournaments! His tempo, deck thinning and synergy are just too good. Sure, its just a crappy 1/1… thats free… with charge… in a pirate deck… that thins the deck for better draws. Is that enough reasons?

Pros dont use it in their deck, but I cant really see why. Yes, it is 1 mana slower than a Naga, but the upgrade to the weapon is so much better! I personally love Greenskin. I know I am also in the minority.

If you DONT have the Captains, then I would use two Raid Leaders. Although you should get the captains!

Im also going to say no… but you could instead use Antonidas. Its not going to perform as well, but you could do that.

I mean, no… its not required for the win… but man its super handy. a 5/5, and then a card that will fill your hand up again later. I honestly cant think of a better 5 turn drop for the deck…. but if it were me and you dont want to craft it, Kabal Courier would work fine too.

But as you said, lots of decks features this card. Thats for a reason. Much like Sylvanis and Azure Drakes of the past being “Auto Includes”, I think Elise and Stonehill are new cards that are auto includes. Eventually, you will want/need this card. Its a “Safe to Craft” card.

Favorite deck in the meta! This one has done very well for me. I have issues with a good draw for Murloc Paly or Mid Hunter, but other than that, I feel I always have a chance to win.
