Archon Team League Championship Finale

Here are the deck lists from the Archon Team League Champion Finals! You’ll notice some players have more decks than others, and that’s because they were allowed to switch decks on day three. Some players opted to do this, and some opted to make minor changes. The decks with changes to them are noted on their respective deck pages.

The win rates are not complete because the full tournament has yet to be posted on YouTube. Once it is fully available I will add the videos to Deck vs. Deck which will complete the percentages.

Archon Team League Week 2

Here are the Archon Team League Deck Lists with win rates for each deck type! You might notice that some of the decks will be titled: “Archon League W.1”. This is purely because some of the decks were exactly the same as last weeks and did not require a new page.

Notable Decks

The decks are still very standard. Silenstorm added Hogger to his Midrange Paladin list, and he also continues to be the only player to bring the more aggro based Warlock Zoo. Shaman was completely left at home this week despite its 2/2 100% win rate last week! Priest saw a bit of love, with Dog bringing a Lightbomb Priest and getting a win. Gaara on the other hand didn’t have as much luck, but only brought it out once.

The once mighty Midrange Druid continues to be the story of the tournament by single-handedly tanking rounds for teams. Druid went 3/13 last week, and 3/10 this week. I’ll be curious if teams will be brave enough to continue to bring the deck. While Rogue enjoyed a 55% win rate last week, this week it fared far worse by dropping to 36%.

Archon Team League Week 1

Here are all of the deck lists from Archon Team League Week One! Win rates have been completed, and you can see all of the matches with our Deck vs. Deck tool.

Notable Decks

Freeze Mage has made a sudden return to the meta. I expected to see at least ONE Tempo Mage, but the players must have felt like Freeze Mage was a strong choice. Priest was completely left at home by the players, while Shaman saw both a Midrange and Mech variant. Aggro Paladin was the flavor of choice for the class with only StrifeCro sticking to the Midrange version. Patron Warrior was brought by all but ONE team (Tempo Storm), and even then Warrior was still represented but as Control. Midrange Demon Zoo was the favored Warlock version, but Lifecoach continued to bring his Handlock, and SilentStorm brought the faster more aggro version of Zoo.

Kinguin Pro League Finals

Kinguin Pro League was a multi-week tournament that concluded with the top 6 point-getters battling it out for world domination! Check out more information and decks from previous weeks here.

Notable Decks

The decks were actually quite dull with no one bringing anything overly risky other than Kolento with his Priest. Hyped brought a Freeze Mage that had Malygos, and StrifeCro was the only player to bring Paladin. Hyped also brought an Oil Rogue that contained Scarlet Crusader.

Notable Stats

The most notable stat is the fact that not one BRM Dragon was seen in any of the decks. The only cards from BRM that made any real impact were Grim Patron, Emperor Thaurissan, and Imp Gang Boss.

Dr. Boom continues to be at the top of the charts appearing in 62.5% of decks. BRM newcomer Emperor Thaurissan charted in at 58.3% crushing old reliable Loatheb at a surprisingly low 29.2%. Big Game Hunter has also dropped from its prior glory showing up in just 25% of decks.

Patron Warrior has taken the meta by storm with Hyped being the only one brave enough not to bring the deck. Hyped in fact, was the only player to not bring Warlock and Warrior which was brought by every other player. Warlock was a near even split with 3 players bringing Midrange Demon Zoo and 2 bringing Handlock. Mage was also a popular pick being brought by four players with 2 Mech and 2 Freeze.

Bottom of the barrel continues to be Shaman being brought by zero players. Priest and Paladin also did not see much play being brought by only one player each.

Amazon’s Blackrock Mountain Release Invitational

Amazon sponsored an Invitational to celebrate the release of Blackrock Mountain. Check out the deck lists and stats below.

Notable Decks

The decks were pretty much all standard aside from the addition of Emperor Thaurissan to all Midrange and Control decks. Hyped added HOGGER to his Hybrid Druid, which marks one of the few times you’ll ever see Hogger in tournament play. Dog played a Demonlock with the newly buffed Bane of Doom, and Rdu added a couple Quick Shots to his Face Hunter. Firebat had a unique addition to his Control Warrior, Doomsayer!

Notable Stats

Emperor Thaurissan has definitely captivated players by showing up in 70.8% of decks and tying for the top card with Dr. Boom and Loatheb. Sylvanas Windrunner seemed to be the card that was dumped for the Emperor by only showing up in 37.5% of decks. Piloted Shredder made up for its Pinnacle 4 performance and appeared in 58.3% of decks. Big Game Hunter is still proving to be dominant in the meta by appearing in 50% of decks.

Paladin, Priest, and Shaman were completely unrepresented by players in this tournament. Druid dominated the top of the charts being brought by 87.5% of players with Mage and Warrior trailing behind at 62.5%. Against all odds, Rdu was the only player to bring Hunter marking a surprising down turn for the class in tournament play.

The Pinnacle 4

Blackrock Mountain is upon us, and The Pinnacle 4 is one of the first tournaments to feature some of the new cards. We’ve got the deck lists, SOME vods, and card stats below!

Notable Decks

A lot of decks were standard but with the addition of Emperor Thaurissan. There was some interesting wrinkles, however, especially from Darkwonyx who always finds ways to shake things up with his unique takes on decks. FRID brought an Aggro Paladin reminiscent of Savjz’s Eboladin, and TidesofTime brought a Mad/Madder Bomber, Frothing Berserker Warrior!

Notable Stats

Emperor Thaurissan made a dramatic entrance by claiming the top card spot with Dr. Boom! Piloted Shredder saw a bit of a drop from its usual 60+% perch to appearing in just 45.8% of decks. Druid is tied with Mage for the top class of the tournament followed closely by Rogue. Paladin and Priest were only brought by one person each, and Shaman was left out completely and desperately waiting for Fireguard Destroyer to be released.
