Descent of Dragons Decks – Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Legend Deck Lists, Deck Ideas, Decks for All Classes!

We won’t be updating this post anymore! To see a list of latest Descent of Dragons decks, click here!

Our Descent of Dragons decks roundup features a full list of deck lists that have been played by legendary players, pros, and streamers. You will be able to find decks for all of the classes: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. We will be keeping this guide updated throughout the beginnings of the new expansion.

Descent of Dragons is the third and final expansion of the Year of the Dragon. While it didn’t come with any Standard rotation (remember that sets always rotate with the first expansion of the year), we still expect it to make a meaningful impact on the meta. Descent of Dragons introduced many new cards, and its power level is considered to be one of the highest in the history of Hearthstone.

Descent of Dragons Deck Lists

We’ll be featuring a bunch of theorycraft decks early on. Once the expansion has been released, we will be feverishly posting new decks for the first few days. After that it usually tapers off as decks become more refined. If this isn’t your first expansion then this is obvious, but be very wary of decks early in the expansion cycle. A deck can be popular one day and then never heard from again. This has happened multiple times in the past, and usually at least once every expansion. If you are a budget player, we recommend holding off for at least a week before committing to crafting anything. Spending Dust on hyped Legendaries during the first few days is a very common mistake, and can leave you without means to craft the actual meta Legendaries when everything slows down.

I’ve been playing I deck that I really enjoy playing Dragon Quest Handlock Warlock — I have Frizz in the deck and oddly I had NO dragons in my hand when I played Frizz.. then Plot Twist once or twice to complete quest and get to full health.. but then I pulled Malygos / Alextrasza / Zzeraku and none of their costs were reduced?? Glitch? or did I miss something on Plot Twist… I had pulled Twilight Drake also and Netherwing and they were both reduced cost.. any ideas?

By the way — there was a comment below that a good aggro will wipe out Handlock — I’ve beaten a lot of aggro with this build, incorporates Hellfire / Dark Skies / Netherwing all of which wipe the Aggro attempts. Combo’ing that with draw for Aranasi and Nether Breath to recoup the damage… holds long enough to play the big cards

Galakrond Shaman is broken, how did it make out of testing? Blizzard should nerf Corrupt Elementalist (4 mana, invoke once), Dragon’s Pack (+2/2) and Galakrond, the Tempest (minions with less stats).

Galakrond and Elementalist are balanced. I think the shaman shell they run in highlights their strengths really well, but doesn’t “break” them. I feel like the serious problem is Dragon’s Pack. There is no point in the game where 2 (or 4) 5/6 with taunt are easy to deal with. Also I have a strong feeling Faceless Corrupter will be nerfed. That card is making its way into every single powerful deck.

those Handlock builds are not good, ive been playing Handlock entire last expansion. a good aggro will wipe you out.
a good path includes lackey package with new lackey, discover a dragon, which will activate your new 2 mana spell and the only good dragon 5/5, that 8 mana dragon is play and die card, 7 mana expand your hand is tempo massacre. handlock is a midrange deck, it means you should finish from turn 8 to like 15 or gg. id include Galakrond and lackey package and remove all those fancy dragons other than new 5/5

I totally agree with you, have you already made a deck list or you just had the idea? So I can try it and see if you are right.
Otherwise I’ll do a new one myself

        always discover a dragon first,
you are not necessarily handlock, you are midrange warlock in general,

Remember there were changes to how Echo works. Echo cards can no longer be reduced to 0 mana. SN1P-SN4P, Glinda Crowskin and Sound the Bells were changed! We can get a full Dust refund until December 19. Hope this get people extra dust for the new expansion!

I actually never saw that. Free 1600 dust for my useless Glinda, I’ll take it. Thanks dude.

SN1P-SN4P, Glinda Crowskin and Sound the Bells. I had 32 Extra Sound the Bells so I got a lot of dust from that. I also had a golden Glinda. Snip snap was given to me free so no dust from that!
