Tower607’s Un’Goro Raza Elemental Priest

Hey everyone, I’m Tower607, and after playing a lot of Reno Dragon Priest before the rotation, I figured i’d give Raza Elemental Priest a try now that Un’Goro is here. This deck has been a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it. Be sure to check out my other Elemental Priest deck too!

Where did Reno go?!?                                                      

• Now that Reno Jackson has rotated into Wild, this deck takes advantage of the “If your deck has no duplicates” cards Raza the Chained and Kazakus. 

Early Game Strategy

• Fire Fly, Northshire Cleric, Power Word: Shield, and Volatile Elemental  are your key mulligans and what you need to get on the board early. 
• Shadow Word: DeathIgneous Elemental Tar Creeper and  Kabal Talonpriest  can help you maintain board control. 
  

Mid Game Strategy

• Tol'Vir, Tortollan Shellraiser, Elise the Trailblazer, Raza the Unchained, Lyra the Sunshard,Kazakus and Servant of Kalimos are your go to midgame minions. 
• Use smart trades and removals to keep control of the board. 

Elemental Synergies                                                                              

• Now that Un’Goro is here, we can substitute Elementals for Dragons!
• Elemental Cards and synergies include: Fire Fly, Radiant Elemental, Tol'vir Stoneshaper Lyra the Sunshard, Servant of Kalimos, Blazecaller, Tar Creeper, and Ozruk.  

Board Clears and Heals

• Holy Nova and  Dragonfire Potion
• Blazecaller and  Kabal Songstealer can help remove pesky taunts or buffed minions. 
• Priest of the Feast and Greater Healing Potion

Late Game Strategy                                                              

If you’re able to survive long enough against aggro decks and your rogue opponents have bad draws to complete their The Caverns Below quest you get to the fun part of the deck! There are two main end game strategies for this Raza Elemental deck.

• Medivh, the Guardian into  Free From Amber is a great combo  to take control of the board and finish off your opponent. The 8 drop has some of the strongest minions in the game. If you save your 10 mana  Kazakus Spell, it can combo nicely with Medivh as well.
• Ozruk paired with a few elementals from the previous turn can set up a real nice final wall of defense. Paired with Inner Fire and Divine Spirit it can create quite a fun finisher.  

Additional Considerations 

• Early game is a bit of a problem with this deck. I think it struggles against aggro. Adding a few taunts like Defender of Argus, Dirty Rat, and Sunfury Protector  might help?
• Im not sure how I feel about Greater Healing Potion. Its a bit clunky if you draw it early and its usually too late if you’re relying on it at the end of the game. I might change it out for Auchenai Soulpriest?
