Mulligans
Hard Mulligan for the 1 Drops or a two card combo of Anonymous Informant+Secret. Backstab is a keep as well.
Don’t hesitate to dagger up on turn 2 to get rid of enemy Peasants, especially if you get an unlucky mulligan ofc. Denying their additional draw is important, especially since we’re trying to cripple their hand even more later on with our Ghastly Gravediggers. They have no answers = we win. Also Kidnap is underrated here. Stealing a well-statted enemy 2 or even 3 Drop for some turns gives us the tempo we need to snowball into our amazing 4 Drops.
Draka doesn’t need a big dagger to be a value card btw, so never hesitate playing her with small numbers. Same goes for the Battlefield.
Finish the job with “poor man’s Leeroy” Mr. Smite by going face or with Scabbs’ huge swing turn. Just remember to follow the old Hunter saying, “the face is the place”.
PS: Tooth of Nefarian can be swapped if you think you need more draw and lose Tempo/Aggro mirrors, e.g. against Murlocs or Mechs. It’s more of a value/reach card against Midrange or more control-oriented decks. Also Halkias has to prove himself to value running him. Prep is in the deck to cheat out secrets for the activation of our Gravedigger’s effects when you didn’t drew a single Anonymous Informant even after the mulligan. So these four cards (Tooth, Halkias, 2 Prep) would be possible cuts for me. Replacements that make sense are fetch cards like f.i. two Gone Fishin’.
Gl hf!
