Quest Shadowpriest (Mammoth)

I’m pretty much an exclusive priest player and these are my musings.

Shadowform has not seen a ton of play recently, especially with the inspire mechanic leaving standard with the rotation of Grand Tournament.

While fiddling with ideas to maximize the new priest quest. I stumbled across this version that I have had success with on the higher ladder ranks. (20-17)

The deck uses strong board wipes to control the early game. Cards like Tentacle of Nzoth, Doomsayer, and Mistress of Mixtures allow you to build up quest and wipe away unwanted enemy minions. is crucial to protect Doomsayer and should be mulliganed for hard in any aggro matchup.

Mid game sees you go into shadow form where you have great control over the board with your hero power, shadow words, and mid range minions like shifting shade, Cabal Shadow Priest, and tortollan. 

Late game you use Elise’s pack and the value cards from Ysera to close the game.

Acolyte of pain is your draw engine. And Nzoth will finish your quest for you if you need it.

The deck also features some life gain through holy fire, Alchemist, and Amara to make sure you get to late game.
