Mulligans
Just a fun deck that I have been messing with.
The main goal is to stay alive and mill through your deck to get to N’Zoth + Shadowstep + Gang Up / Lab Recruiter. Once you get to that point, it is difficult to lose. The Emporer can assist with getting some form of this combo out earlier too.
Sludge Belcher and Rotten Apple provide for decent survive-ability.
The Deathlord can help with that too, but be careful in playing him to early. It really depends on what type of deck you are playing. IMO, it’s a good idea to play him when you have a Vanish or at least some type of board control.
Besides N’Zoth, this deck will also inherently make your opponent start milling through their deck. Don’t be afraid to just throw down you ColdLight Oracles and Shadowstep / Lab Recruiter them. Just make sure you keep one copies of the cards required for the main N’Zoth combo before using one for the Oracle. The Deathlord also adds to the milling pressure. As you get deeper into the game (if you survive), keep an eye on the size of your opponent’s hand. If they have a large board – the Oracle followed by Vanish can work wonders.
Sonya can probably be swapped for something else. If you do include her, I would only play her when you can get obvious value for her (when you are about trade minions).
Cairne is included to keep pressure on once you fire off your N’Zoth. They will have to make it through several layers of taunt + Cairne’s initial form to get to his second form.
The last thing to note – if you have the option to use Gang Up or Lab Recruiter on N’Zoth or the Oracle, I would use Lab Recruiter. I have had several games where I have been able to use Gang Up on one of the opponent’s minions to “annoyingly” turn their own deck against them (e.g. Archbishop Benedictus, etc.).
