Mulligans

MULLIGANS
Throw back traps, 5 cost minions, and 4 cost minions if you’re feeling lucky, but hold onto 3 cost minions. You really want to keep your traps in the deck

—————————–

HENCH-CLAN HOGSTEED x1
– Prevents the second diving gryphon from ever failing to draw
– Kills satyr overseer in demon hunter decks
– Early removal is a little weak in the deck without hogsteed
– Only rush minion that benefits from shan’do
– A second mok’nathal instead of a hogsteed gums up the hand

BLOATED PYTHON x1
– Synergizes with Mok’Nathal, Pack Tactics & Vectus
– Excellent token removal but very weak against priest
– So weak against ‘take control of an enemy minion with 2 or less attack’  that a 2nd python isn’t possible

DIVING GRYPHON
– Don’t hold onto gryphons. Play them like a loot hoarder, throw them out casually if you have to, put on the pressure. They have a larger effect than a hero power with 1 leftover mana
– For 6 mana they can call a zixor or hogsteed to deal 2 and then leave a high attack body on board
– If you’ve run out of cards to call with grypon, add a Zixor Prime to your deck then use your gryphon

RAMKAHEN WILDTAMER
– Hold onto the wildtamer until you can clone a hand-buffed beast or a zixor prime
– Copy diving gryphon to keep the draw engine rolling
– Copy phase stalker for control

PRIMORDIAL EXPLORER
– Playing this card correctly wins game

SHAN’DO WILDCLAW
– I played around with win condition cards, and I liked shan’do more than toxic reinforcements. The decision came down to the fact that in the late game he can copy a python, a teachers pet, zixor, a phase stalker in a pinch, or any boosted beast

MOK’NATHAL LION
– The lion with 5 attack does a lot more than fishy flyer with 4 attack. Ideally, copy a bloated python or teachers pet deathrattle. Copying shimmerfly is probably still better than getting a 4/3 ghost

TEACHERS PET
– if you draw pack tactics, save it for teachers pet

VECTUS
– Vectus DOES NOT copy Mok’nathal Lions battlecry/deathrattle

DECK PROS
– Very strong draw engine
– Lots of defensive answers, rush minions, eaglehorn bow and traps
– Turn 2/3 Shan’do Wildclaw can be a win condition
– Deadly shot can create win condition
– 4 different ways to reliably draw Zixor Prime. If you draw Zixor Prime with scavenger’s ingenuity you have a win condition
– Zixor, Apex Predator can be cloned by pack tactics, mok’nathal lion, ramkahen wildtamer, and even teachers pet (1/12 chance of summoning Zixor A.P.) which means you end up drawing Zixor Prime in a lot of games

DECK CONS
– Taking down big minions is limited by deadly shots random nature
– Decks that are 50% 1 cost minions can overwhelm the deck which is a little slow. Pray for explosive traps
– There’s no mindblowingly powerful cards in this deck, just decent powered cards
