Mulligans

Aggro Mulligans

Go heavy on deathrattle and pushing for quest. Ignore the combo, especially against baku hunter. Once you've popped the quest, most aggro decks concede, and if they don't, then you have time to work on the combo.

This deck has been a blast to play. But it is not easy to maneuver… I’ve toyed around with a bunch of versions, but this has been the most successful. The quest deathrattle package has been the most consistent in the current meta.

It’s called “infinity” priest because of the big turn combo: Lyra the Sunshard, 2x Radiant Elemental and 2x Vivid Nightmare. This generates 4 mana discount with a reload of spells. The biggest issue is actually the time in your turn! I know what you’re saying… that is rediculous… 5 cards?!?!? that’ll never happen! I manage to hit the big turn in most games (depending on the matchup). The reason for this is the heavy amount of tutoring abilities complemented by draw mechanics.

Let’s talk about the individual card choices, grouped in their roles:

Tutors –  Shadow Visions and Sandbinder, specifically find your elementals (Radiant Elemental Vivid Nightmare.  Sandbinder is at least a body on the board as well.

Draw –  Bloodmage Thalnos Loot Hoarder Power Word: Shield as well as a pseudo draw in Twilight's Call (which often is reviving loots). Loots help clear early boards while cycling, bloodmage is another source of draw and also has great synergy with Spirit Lash, which is an all-star vs paladin decks. Shield is self explanatory…

Quest – Tortollan Shellraiser Gilded Gargoyle Voodoo Doll Plated Beetle Loot Hoarder Bloodmage Thalnos . Beetle helps with early board plus armor to last in to later turns, it is also a good target for shield to continue to fight for board. Shellraiser absorbs lots of dmg while perhaps pumping something. Doll is in there for spiteful decks and giants. Gargoyle is a nice piece to have for the big combo turn while also adding to the deathrattle count. Vivid Nightmare can also be a deathrattle card if need be, the versatility and multi-purpose of the chosen cards is what makes this deck viable. Most players have no idea what they are playing against, and will often trade to your board (which is what you want, as there actually isn’t much heal in the deck, and having someone go face is worse for you), but by the time they’ve traded, you are either quest popping or doing your big turn.

Removal – Voodoo Doll Shadow Word: Death Shadow Word: Pain Spirit Lash. Voodoo for spiteful pulls and giants, SWD for giants and tempo cards like thug that grow, SWP for extra early support. Spirit lash is an MVP against pally and rogue and can buy you a turn or two, especially if combined with bloodmage.

Zola – Zola the Gorgon is here primarily to hit your Amara to reload another 40 life pts. But it can also be used to make some deathrattles or a combo piece like lyra or radiant.

The best part of playing this deck is the fun you have while going off on the big turn and watch your opponent hit the “WOW” button. Most meta decks at the moment don’t have a lot of ways to answer your big turn either, especially if you hit the right cards.

I’m going to toy around with other versions of this deck, but that core “infinity” combo of lyra, radiant and vivd nightmare is what i really wanted to present. I hope someone can break it.

I’d like to add that I don’t have the egg legendary weapon, and there’s perhaps a way to break that here. Similarly, questing adventurer could get stupid big with this, and in wild, arcane giants could come in to play as well.

Very Nice deck i like the concept !
What about adding the legendary Weapon and/or Shadowreaper Anduin (very good with gargoyl) and/or Velen + Mindblast??
    Have you tried it?

      Cheers!

I had added at the end of the description that the egg might be a useful addition… I just haven’t pulled it from a pack and am not sure if it’s worth the dust. My opinion on it however is that by the time you get the combo going, you’re only going to get 2 dragons out of it as your board has 5 minions on it. However, it might be a solid way to get through the early game.

Shadowreaper isn’t a bad idea, biggest issue is that the battlecry has little to no effect in current meta. I think there’s a way to make a spell priest with egg and anduin, add velen and mind blast in to that and givr…. but at that point, you might want to just run the velen combo deck that’s floating around, as it’s optimized to take advantage of that…

This seems like a very fun deck to play which will catch people off guard. Unfortunately I have none of the 4 legendaries in the deck, so I can’t play it. But I wish you a lot of fun!

to be honest, losing early board removal hurts the most in the current aggro meta…. shadow word horror would have been reeeeaaaalllll nice.

Thinking of building a dragon build to see if it can compete more in the early game against the high tempo decks…. Rogue is currently my biggest issue.
