Mulligans

General Mulligans

These three make up the bread and butter of your early curve, and are honestly unfair in a lot of matchups. Even in 2019, Turn 1 Tunnel Trogg into Turn 2 Totem Golem or Jade Claws is absolutely brutal.

Aggro Mulligans

These two, along with the general good cards are great to fight the mirror. Feral Spirit gives you two extra bodies on the board to contest your opponents buildup, while Lightning Bolt is a panic button answer to small, but dangerous aggro creatures that you don't want to smash with your Claws or Mace.

Combo Mulligans

Against Combo, its a race against the clock, and nothing says "I'm winning fast" like an early windfury minion backed up by a flametongue Totem. That's representing 10 Damage as early as turn 3. And that might just win you the game.

Control Mulligans

Against Control, you ideally want to have a small spell, along with Spirit of the frog to get some sort of Burn game going. Your minions aren't as valuable in that matchup, to make our opponent's boardwipes as dead as possible. Jade cards do go a long way too. Try to end the game quick if you can, but don't overcommit.

So, this is a deck I’m planning on playing a bit on Stream. It’s still incomplete, but it packs quite the nostalgic punch. Remember Jade Midrange Shaman from Mean Streets of Gadgetzan? Well, this is basically that deck, with some new upgrades from other, more recent expansions (like Electra Stormsurge And Spirit of the Frog) The deck is quite aggressive, and can dish out pretty mean damage quite fast with the right opening hands, while still maintaining some semblance of card advantage and board control to play a midrange style gameplan too. It is a bit spell heavy though, as you may have noticed, so if that’s not your thing, this is just not a deck for you.

As for upgrades, the biggest one I can recommend is Aya Blackpaw. Throw out one Jade Chieftain in its place.

Once I’ve played this deck enough, I’ll update this guide to be more comprehensive. For now, this’ll just remain here as a decklist to share with friends.
