General Mulligans
This is the example of ideal starting hand.
Aggro Mulligans
Doomsayer + Frost Nova combo is always good against aggro.
Control Mulligans
Generally, you don't need Arcanologist in your starting hand against control decks so Steam Surger would be much more preferable.
Elemental Quest Mage – a deck that uses elemental synergy to complete the quest, Open the Waygate. Lesser Ruby Spellstone provides a lot of spells, while freezing effects keep You alive. The strategy is the same as if you would play standard Quest Mage, but with few changes:
- You want to get Lesser Ruby Spellstone as soon as possible to start upgrading it. If you have it in your starting hand, it would also make sense to keep Shimmering Tempest.
- Don’t waste Arcane Artificer too early. It’s better to keep it for the late game and use it with expensive spells.
- Don’t use Leyline Manipulator to reduce the cost of a single spell, unless it’s really necessary (situations, when that one spell can win you the game).
