General Mulligans

This deck is very linear you want to see the same core cards in your opener, Mulligan anything that costs 4 or greater and secrets as a rule of thumb.

Coldlights are a definite no against aggro.

Against board swarming/aggro decks you want your cheap freezes in combination with doomsayer early.

Regardless of the matchup 99% of the time you want a turn 2 arcanologist, it gets worse as the game goes longer and is dead if you draw your secrets prior.

There’s absolutely nothing new in this deck, you know why it was never broken (unless you were playing against it), so why fix it? The only thing holding this deck back was the speed of the meta. With the release of knights, the meta slowed down. Now that it has this list is better then ever. The only two flex spots are the frostbolts realistically, and they are great early or late! They can be swapped out for volcanic potions, 1 eater of secrets, and or 1 bloodmage thainos.

1) Never attack the enemy hero with your minions unless the board is clear! They are only in there for their effects, otherwise trade early on in conjunction with your hero power.

2) never keep “Exodia” pieces (reflections, apprentices, antonidas), secrets, or anything costing more then 3 mana in your opener. The game is going to go long, you need to stave off whatever early moved your opponent has.

3) tempo out your opponent on draws, save your coldlights unless it’s an emergency (digging for an answer). You don’t interact much so your opponents hand size will gradually built until they are forced to play cards. Wait until they have 8+ cards in hand then watch their extra cards burn. It also gives you an idea about what they have left in their deck.

There will be updates as the season progresses this is just a primer/explanation of my favorite (and in my opinion the best) version of this deck. I’ll be happy to answer any questions left in the comments and will happily read criticisms/suggestions.
