Hearthstone's Special Announcement Liveblog (Whispers of the Old Gods)!

Well, the cat might already be out of the back because we’ve gotten a lot of leaks in the last couple of days that Whispers of the Old Gods will be Hearthstone’s next expansion. So, unless Blizzard has pulled the biggest flimflam on us ever, we should see the official unveiling of that today. We should also get to see cards from the set, and maybe we’ll hear the actual release date, because based on the leaks it will be late April or early May, which is still a long ways out. The meta is super stale right now, let alone the meta basically two months from now.

Announcement is over, but they’ll be releasing new cards throughout the Americas Winter Championship!
You can pre-purchase 50 packs on Monday with the new patch! You get a free Card Back if you pre-purchase.
Opening your first pack gives you C’Thun for free – and you get three free packs for logging in!
New Card: C'Thun – 10 Mana 6/6 – Battlecry: Deal damage equal to this minion’s Attack randomly split among all enemies.
New Card: Twilight Elder
New Card: Beckoner of Evil
16 Cultist cards that interaction with C’Thun
New Cultist minions buff C’Thun on the board, hand, or deck
C’Thun is the most insidious of the 4 gods.
4 old gods, each is a legendary minion.
New Card: Validated Doomsayer
Doomsayer has been corrupted!
New Card: Corrupted Healbot
Antique Healbot has also been corrupted!
New Card: Polluted Hoarder
The old gods have corrupted cards we know of now, e.g. Loot Hoarder into Polluted Hoarder
