General Information
Romulo and Julianne is the first boss of the Opera wing in One Night in Karazhan. Julianne and Romulo share a strong bond of love, you’ll need to deal with the tenacious Romulo before you defeat her!
- Julianne starts out with 15 Health and Romulo on the board in Normal mode.
- Julianne starts out with 15 Health and 15 Armor with Romulo (Heroic) on the board in Heroic mode.

How-to Beat Heroic Romulo and Julianne
This is a pretty straight forward fight in which Tempo Mage can easily win. If you used our Mill Rogue from Wing One I would be surprised if that didn’t work perfectly in this battle. The main consideration is playing around Betrayal. Make sure that you position your minions accordingly. She has a lot of taunt minions so a card like The Black Knight could be useful, but any decks that clear the board and can do burst damage would also work here. If you do play any early drops I would lean towards anything that has at least 2 attack because you won’t want her to get free trades with Romulo.

Just in case you guys don’t already know, I realized that Romulo can be silenced! 🙂
Created a deck using Stoneskin Gargoyle and buffed it with Power Word: Shield, Velen’s Chosen and/or Power Word: Tentacles (mid-game). Obviously Divine Spirit and Inner Fire too. Add in a couple of silences/mass dispels, and throw plenty of cheap spells to clear minions/board and you’re good.
Lightwell is a very helpful starting minion. And if you have Shadowform, it’ll be a walk in the park. Most of Julianne’s minions can be easily pinged off (especially Romulo)!
Downed her within a single try. Might have been lucky with the draws/curve, but you shouldn’t have much difficulty if you know how to use your draws well.

Some priest action did the trick for me. Baron Geddon is super strong in most heroic modes until now
