Add treant synergies to all those!

Dark Skies

It isn’t exactly outclassed since it comes earlier and it can also deal with early giants and other stuff. I think it is better than i initial thought and it might see play in handlock and/ or control warlock. I like the fact that it rewards you for tapping on turn two

Dragonmaw Poacher

Wow this is an amazing combo! And probably a viable one since i can see these cards in a ,midrange deck

Dragonmaw Poacher

So if you run a dragon deck just pray your opponent doesn’t run or didn’t draw this lol. Seriously now this hard counters midrange dragon decks if it is active on curve. Notice that it gains rush so silencing it will still leave a 4/4 body, which will already have removed something. If you run removal for this your opponent will have won 2 for 1 AND huge tempo. So i don’t think there is a lot you can do against this. The only small dragon that does fine against this is….. the new hunters explorer! So this may let aggro dragon hunter shine! LOL

Descent of Dragons Card Review #5 - Ancharr, Kobold Stickyfinger, Cumulo-Maximus, Zzeraku, Nithogg, Bandersmosh, Frizz Kindleroost and more!

What stone keep said! I would like to add that a vanilla 4 mana 5/5 would definitely NOT be played by every single deck. Aggro and tempo decks would love it to fill their curve but other than that with no other synergies slower decks wouldn’t run it at all

Sanctuary

Yes, of course ,it feels nice on curve in certain circumstances, but later in the game against aggro decks it will be very difficult to get that taunt. If the aggro deck is not able to damage you it means that you have, more or less, stabilised and you would probably win anyway. It does totally nothing when you are behind (except of course if you combo it with time out, which i think isn’t enough). Against control decks of course a two mana 3/6 would give you good value, but it’s too slow. You need to pay two mana to play it first, next turn you most likely summon the taunt and you need one more turn to attack with it. Control decks will have plenty of time to deal with it.

Sanctuary

But the problem is that control mage will probably have nothing better than pinging you in the second turn and aggro will most probably will have other ways to hurt you, so it doesn’t seem that it forces bad plays for your opponent in any case.

Sanctuary

The problem with this card is that when it is activated easily (against control decks) its almost irrelevant because its too slow and a 3/6 taunt isn’t a big threat for a control deck, and when it is relevant (against aggro decks) it may never activate because aggro will love to punch your face. The only scenario i think it would be really good it would be against aggro IF you coin it out on the first turn and IF he missed his one drops and IF he can’t damage you with his hero power. Otherwise you would prefer to hero power on the second turn than playing this. I think it’s very inconsistent withnd it want see constructed play

Tavern Brawl - Top 3

Pirate warrior includes only neutral cards. Why would it be warrior exclusive? The hero power also seems the weaker we could pick in such a deck. I assume warlock or hunter should, although it might be irrelevant

How does windfury work?

Candle Breath

Of course but he had also many non beast minions that he d like to use but he dropped them for the sake of a card. What i m trying to say is that a single broken card is enough to make an archetype from meme to viable! And don’t forget that rogue has successfully used malygos before and if they print more dragons and dragon synergies rogue would be happy to run dragons just for this card

Shield of Galakrond

I see no reason not to be included in any galakrond deck. Compared with some other invoke cards its highly underpriced (in most cards invoke costs them 1.5- 2mana) which is weird since its a neutral. That said, I don’t think it will make galakrond decks good by its own

Breath of Dreams

What he is trying to say is that a two mana spell draw a card is pathetic because you just payed two mana to replace your card for another. Every spell like this needs to do also something occasionally useful like flash of light or commanding shout or flare. They cycle themselves but they (may) do something in progress. Life tap is entirely different: for two mana ( and 2 life of course) you GAIN a new card out of nowhere. Great difference. Now this cards effect is just awesome in the early game and you can afford to just cycle it in the late game. Remember actually that wild growth just actually cycles itself when you have 10 mana and this costs one mana less and draws you the card even if you manage to ramp. Of course it loses some consistency because of the requirement but I think this won’t be a problem.

Waxadred

Thanks you are probably right. For some reason i thought that cast when drawn cards read “then draw a card” at the end lol

Waxadred

As it reads the candles do NOT draw you another card as other cast when drawn cards, or am I missing something?

Primordial Explorer

Anything is for anyone in hearthstone!!! As long as broken cards are printed of course. For example there have never been any murloc synergies for mage but when aluneth was printed and when the meta became too greedy mage players could run murlocs out of nowhere! Was it bad because they have not any murloc synergies for mages and not a single class murloc??? Apparently this is not the case about this card. This is a pure value card and a PERFECT arena card but i don’t think it will see any constructed play unless broken dragon synergies are printed for Hunter

Malygos, Aspect of Magic

That was a pretty decent guess! Although, I think they were much more generous with flamestrike and more careful with arcane explosion since the latter can be played the same turn with the dragon…

Candle Breath

Yes, but we are talking about 3 mana draw 3 cards!!! Any class would love that! Hunter dropped all non- beast minions for master’s call and he dominated the meta for a couple of months. And running few dragons to make this work is a MUCH less of a sacrifice than running only beasts… Even if dragon rogue doesn’t take enough support to take off, today’s tempo rogue would happily include a small dragon package (like faerie dragon marsh drake) just to include also this card

The Mountain Giant Conundrum

It’s not that complex i think but it requires a different approach. Mana cost can be concidered as a part of a minion’s stats so it could be kept while in play. For example if you handbuff a minion and you play it doesn’t lose of course its additional stats (unless it gets silenced). Why it has to “lose” any cost reduction effect when played? That way though a giant’s cost would change all the time and this doesn’t really make sense, so they would need to change the text also… Of course if you summoned your minion otherwise it would keep its original cost because the reduction works only when played. I don’t really know how easy it is to change this mechanic that way but it’s an interesting idea for the future…

Zephrys is Getting Smarter (Again) With the Upcoming Balance Patch - Interview with Celestalon

I really cant understand how some people that a TWO MANA NERF on a card will be almost irrelevant!!! Even against control you will lose some value and tempo since you have not enough mana to hero power or do anything else other than shild slam. Also against warrior it will be a useless card most of the time since it will come too late (though warrior may still be good against aggro. But where i think warrior will hurt most is against midrange decks. At turn 5-7 they start putting too match pressure and quests are usually finished by that time. Playing dr 7 on curve was almost game over in these games. Now playing it on turn 9 and trying to come back on turn 10 may be toooooooo late. You may even hold it and still can’t play it because you may need to answer their board every time to stay alive.
Probably it will still be playable for control warrior but at least it won’t be that broken and warrior will start thinking mulligan it away.
