Since Alglyphic’s comment is almost two years old, now you now this hasn’t been patched or changed in anyway.

Just in case anyone new is struggling with Varian, it is possible to complete the fight without progressing the phase. I managed to kill him with his Valeera still at 2/2 —he managed to get one shalamayne hit— all I did was freeze the board and his face.

Granted this was after about five attempts and a hand and draw that was incredibly lucky with freezing syngergy.

Terrible if the demon you want to draw is a battlecry (like Sargarers’s portal, which without is just a twisting nether) , good for something like Mal’ganis, shame Fanottem isn’t a demon 🙁

Nvm. Apparently Odyn stack doesn’t work anymore.

Ah. So it was a competing deck whose only downside was the other powerful deck, with that goning they tried to tone it done a bit as well. Thanks you for explaining 🙂

Was the Hunter weapon a problem? Or is it a head-first nerf in anticipation of them being a problem? I barely play standard anymore so I’m unclear on this. It’s not a problem for me because I want Diamond Liadrin and this right here is a free legendary without a lose, since I’ll just immediately craft the weapon non-gold version too xD

Won first try with meme Renethal-Raid The Sky Temple deck; my one and only Ice Block didn’t trigger. Didn’t know what to expect since the first was beyond my time and went in with the deck because I knew it was PvE and RNG-Fiesta Mage is my go-to for any PvE content, if possible. I was shocked to find that my deck is rather synergetic with the guys buffs ( +3 Spell Dng, Double Hero Dmg, 2-cost reduction).

Went a similar deck for my sister’s account (No Quest, and half the epics) with a focus on Ignite spam AFTER first phase with the draw a spell after casting a fire spell. Lost twice before succeeding: First loss I just died after getting Diablo to 128 HP, second loss I learnt that the three buffs aren’t static and 2- Reducection became a “all minions cost 4, and are 7/7”, he flooded the board and I couldn’t survive. Third try was similar to my own win: Put taunts up and Diablo seems to forget how to play.

In hindsight for myself I could have gone with Fel DH + Jace, since it’s a wild brawl, however it could have also gone with something like UiS Quest Shaman for full spell damage synergy. A strange thing is I tried to enter a few times with Frost DK and Four Horsemen (since I didn’t think frost had the spells to kill Diablo even with discovers and Deathwhisper) and it told me that the deck was allowed, I assumed it was an Insta-kill thing so I’m shocked to see Mecha-Thun is possible, maybe it was E.T.C’s band that wasn’t allowed?

I don’t understand Highlander, I’m reading the text as something similar to Mountain Giants: an ever cost-changing card equal to what is currently in your deck, and that if this is your last draw you can’t play it all because it would be the 30 unobtainable mana? I’d like to see the card in play to see if this is the case or not but for now I don’t have any gold to buy the mini set.

Actually came online to check this because I just thought to myself “eh I’m bad, I kne I’m bad, I don’t care for gold because I’ve been f2p for the entirety of getting King Andy and I’m fine with whatever home brew mess I make each expansion until the last month where I can patch together a semi-level headed deck and—let’s waste the pitiful 1k gold I have to give it a go”…. Lost all thee, didnt regret it non, checked my quest for other things and saw the brawlisuem one had progressed? Went to collection and saw it now said participating in it rather than winning.

Was very confused, thought bug and came to check, so thank you for posting about it 🙂

In a game like Hearthstne I don’t see the point in never allowing for things to be gotten again. It’s not like these were originally blocked by time investments and skill like the few things WoW has never brought back so far….you had money, and you bought it, and had it instantaneously.

I imagine a lot of people — especially players who don’t want to spend too much money on preorders (or simply can’t afford them)— are glad that certain skins could return. I know I was with Mecha Demon-Boy.

I hope this test —dipping their toes into the reaction of a Tavern Pass skin returning, since I don’t recall one having returned before now— is successful because if it is we’ll be seeing more past tavern skins and I have my eyes on a certain Tamsin and Aranna one.
