Shop Update: Two New Skins, Two Returning Skins And Legendary Cards

It’s Tuesday, so it’s time for another shop update! It’s a pretty big one, with new skins, returning skins and something to boost your collection – individual Legendary cards (although they feel pretty expensive for just a single card). Here are all of the new items that are available this week:

  • Chantress Jaina Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Mage skin + 5x Mage Card Pack.
  • Sir Anoise-O Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Paladin skin + 5x Paladin Card Pack.
  • Lady Vashj Hero Set (1500 Gold or $10) – Returning Tier 1 Shaman skin + related Card Back. Originally available from the Ashes of Outland Mega Pre-Purchase Bundle.
  • Guff Runetotem Hero Skin (1000 Gold or $7) – Returning Tier 2 Druid skin. Originally available from the United in Stormwind Tavern Pass.
  • Random Standard Legendary Card (700 Runestones or $7) – A random Legendary card from any of the current Standard sets.
  • Random Golden Standard Legendary Card (1500 Runestones or $15) – A random Golden Legendary card from any of the current Standard sets.

Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, and some extra visual effects. Some of those might be also included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins!

New items usually stay in the shop for around 2-3 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (4 or more weeks) and very rarely it’s shorter (a week).

Literally just got money on a card today to buy the nzoth skin and I guess I missed it… I’m guessing it’s not returning at all

I just love that they keep releasing limited skins I got from pre ordering years ago. Degrading everything in value. Money now over long term I guess.

I don’t see how this is a big issue. The skins look nice, and I want to use them. I can see them staring at me in the collection, but I can’t get them until they finally, after a long time, enter the store once more.
I get how it’s cool to have really rare items, but I don’t know if that is fair to someone who wasn’t able to spend 60 euros for a pre-purchase a year or more ago. If you want a rare item, consider getting that 12 win run in the heroic brawl. Or just 3 wins (I believe) for the less premium skin. I doubt many people will be getting those.

In a game like Hearthstne I don’t see the point in never allowing for things to be gotten again. It’s not like these were originally blocked by time investments and skill like the few things WoW has never brought back so far….you had money, and you bought it, and had it instantaneously.

I imagine a lot of people — especially players who don’t want to spend too much money on preorders (or simply can’t afford them)— are glad that certain skins could return. I know I was with Mecha Demon-Boy.

The legendary card for 7 € is a pretty bad deal, compared to the (20 pack + 2 legendary bundles) that appear every month.

I can only guess that blizzard is testing how much players are willing to pay for a single legend.
Since I bought almost every (small) bundle they offered I have already completed all standard legendaries except for 5 from Festival.
Those will also come sooner or later. No way I will buy the 7 € legend.
