It might be purposefully like that. When battling, the snowman gets cut. Instead of looking downwards, Thrall stares towards the opponent.

yeah… at the time, my mind seemed to forget that poison-esque affect which is not obvious in text and does not see much play. And I had interpreted on the attack aspect like +x additional damage is dealt as opposed to minion deals the damage. As for the 9 mana combo – meh.
