Just a quick update on the honor event that’s been going on ever since Fractured in Alterac Valley pre-patch. Only one week left until the winning side gets decided.
As a reminder, all players will get the Diamond version of the winning faction’s leader – Drek'Thar if Horde wins and Vanndar Stormpike if Alliance wins. Only one of them will be available, unless somehow both factions tie (but that’s nigh impossible given that the total number of Honor is now counted in billions).
It also looks like Alliance is still in the lead, just like a few weeks ago. If Horde doesn’t catch up within the next week, we should expect a Diamond Vanndar Stormpike card for everyone.
Of course, it doesn’t mean that the whole event is over. Players can still farm honor all the way until the end of Alterac Valley expansion. So if you’re still missing a bunch to get to the final rank – don’t worry, you still have roughly 3 more months left to get it.

yeah
I mean, the meta allows Control deck to flourish, and the devs making sure of it by nerfing every combo deck if they still oppressive. So of course Alliance got better stand.
I’ve even seen the case where Horde players plays control deck more and more.
Ah. anyway. 1 more month before miniset, and I’ve done 95% achievements.
Nothing left to do aside for daily quests.

Yes, you get the Golden version of opposing faction’s leader for completing all the honor ranks (7.2k honor in total).

Last paragraph says you have about 3 months left to complete it if you want the golden opposing faction leader. Only the Vanndar vs Drek’Thar event ends next week. The honor quest event is available until the next expansion comes out.
I think that his point is that he picked Horde and will get Vanndar (Diamond version) without even needing to complete the event. Assuming Alliance wins in the end, that is 🙂

I’m far from completing the event. How far? 140 honor so far, and that’s just because the holiday special quests (which forced me to play modes that earn honor) and Nozdormu.
So while my horde soul is hurt a bit, it’ll be nice to get the alliance faction leader card without completing the event.
Yeah, sorry about the misunderstanding. I’m also sad about the Horde losing, haha, but it’s cool we’re getting the opposing leader.
