I agree with you, I was thinking about maybe putting an Owl instead (helps against a few Hakkar decks, since only druids can play and kill him on the same turn), what do you think ?

On his first stream playing the deck, he said that Lyra was a more than decent replacement. The idea of that slot is generating some value, I guess.

I’d guess Banker the Banker, with the Elekk on board, to avoid fatigue, most of the time (it’s only a 7 mana combo)

I haven’t tried it personnally, but it looks like a very good cube/cold blood target. Don’t know if it’s the best card for the slot, or just an adjustment by BoarControl for his specific legend meta, though

I agree about the amount of secrets. Maybe cut one Tracking for a one-of of another secret ?

I don’t know what’s scarier, the amount of legendaries for this deck, or the fact that I have them all…. Anyway, this deck looks really fun, can’t wait to give it a try tonight, thank you !

Love the people commenting “worst spreading plague” here, well sure when you start with a 6 mana 7/35 taunt, everything looks bad in comparison

He is reaaaaally good at putting pressure, and depending on the matchups, you don’t need to make him extremely big. Against a priest that you think runs both Shadow Words (like the Cloning Gallery priest, very popular atm), you can make him a 4/4, or just a giant 8/8+ to put him out of jasper and amethyst spellstones’ range. His strength is his stats’ flexibility. Now, you can replace him with a Questing Adventurer if you want a budget alternative that is close to the OG, or you can go for another 3-drop, like Blink Fox or SI:7, but that will imply a different gameplay.

Myra’s Unstable Element is a great card in odd rogue, one of the best cards in the deck imho, but the deck is clearly playable without, and I guess it’s up to personal preference and playstyle !
Owl over Ripper is a local meta tech choice, both can be swapped for the other (although I’d rather have one Ripper over one silence)
Tar Creeper is simply one of the best taunts in the game, and not only is a great Fungal/Cold Blood target, allows you to save your board against a lot of aggro decks (zoo and odd paladin hate going through a Tar Creeper), and given the comeback of odd paladins post-nerf, I’d recommend running two of them. But again, it’s kind of a local meta choice I guess.

If you want to stick to the “weapon boost” small synergy of the deck (and the card you’re replacing here), I’d suggest the Spiteful Smith, a surprisingly overlooked card in the odd rogue archetype.

What makes those “better versions” better ? And which ones are they ?

I’d say Reckless Rocketeer, it’s the closest replacement you can have to Leeroy.
