Kargal Battlescar Will Be Eligible For Full Dust Refunds After Watch Post Nerfs (Hotfix Coming Later This Week)

Great news, everyone! Blizzard just announced that following today’s patch, which hit the two strongest Watch Posts – Far Watch Post and Mor'shan Watch PostKargal Battlescar will also be eligible for full Dust refund. Kargal was notably missing from the list of eligible cards, even though nerfs to two Watch Post were also a big, indirect nerf to the card’s power. Hotfix that will change it is coming later this week.

The changes are also retroactive – everyone who dusted Kargal after 20.0.2 patch notes were published on Monday will get the Dust difference sometime after the hotfix is out.

The move is honestly quite surprising, in a positive way. Blizzard usually didn’t offer Dust refunds for cards indirectly nerfed, and this one being retroactive is very player-friendly. Nice job!

Holy shit, right after reading this i went to hearthstone to finish my arena, (had a 6-3, so nice), and got him from the pack, it’s basically like getting a golden legendary in disguise, tho idk what i will craft with this, anybody played APM mage? I saw it’s fun, but is it “winnable”?

You mean the one in Wild? It’s not bad, but both Secret and Reno Mage still have better WR according to the stats. You could also try Mozaki version if you’re into combo Mage decks.

In simple words, can I dust it now and get a refund sometime later?
Cause currently Kargal can be dusted for 400.

Personally, I wouldn’t risk it. It’s best to wait for the hotfix I’d say.

Yes, but from the original message it sounded like refunds would given away some time AFTER the hotfix, so if you want Dust as soon as possible (and make sure that nothing bugs out), just wait until you can get full Dust from disenchanting him. We’ll give an update once the hotfix is live.

Yes they are changing into an better way. For the players and not just for the money. This team is making a great job, much better than years ago. I feel better and playing makes more fun, in more ways than before. It is going the right way now.

Thank you for hearing the Community and reacting to them in an better way . This is part of an change and for the future of the game.

If I have the ‘collect all 135 cards’ achievement completed, I can still disenchant him without ‘losing’ that achievement, right?

I’m asking because with Scholomance, I didn’t have the full expansion, dusted some crappy legendaries and they where ‘substracted’ from my ‘achievement counter’ (I hope it’s clear what I mean). Which makes it very hard for me to get that Bigglesworth coin … 🙁

Yes, I did that in the morning and still have diamond Bru’Kan 🙂

Once you complete an achievement, it won’t disappear no matter what you do.

Or well, at least it SHOULDN’T, haha. But we all know how Hearthstone works sometimes.

Really Impressed by this, Hearthstone has become so much less greedy and stingy than it was just a few years old (tho it’s still expensive af)

Pleasantly surprised by this. It is very frustrating when players are left holding nerf-adjacent legendaries.
