Deck Import

It plays like an older token deck with some new additions. You mix in ramp and powerful tempo swings with violet teacher and fandral. Your strategy is entirely dependent on matchup, whether you focus on hitting the board fast against Aggro, or ramping in the early game for some big mid/late game swings against Reno/Control.

Notable Card Choices:

Pilfered Power- one of the most recent additions to the deck. I found that a turn 4 or 5 PP with at least 2 minions on board is actually really powerful in certain matchups, and it frees up your nourishes to be used for draw. (Note: I used to have one Ooze instead)

Barnes- undercover MVP of the deck. It has a good chance of hitting either violet teacher, fandral, or auctioneer. I always wait to play Barnes with a cheap spell in hand (innervate, mark of the lotus, raven idol, living roots, etc.) to get great value.

Fandral- obviously an auto include for all but the most aggro druid builds. Turn 2 innervate fandral is hard to answer for a lot of classes. And if you have wrath or idol in hand for follow up, it can be game winning.

Soul of the Forest- another surprisingly impactful card. This card alone drastically improves my win rates against Reno mage and renolock. I usually try to get a teacher and a few tokens and then play soul of the forest. This plays around most board clears and allows for a number of strong follow up plays like Cenarius, savage roar, or multiple board buffs.

Cenarius- old school cool. Cenarius isn’t around much anymore and he isn’t the strongest minion in the deck but he does make for a great turn 9 if you can get some minions to stick. Against shamans especially

I seem to be stabilizing right around turn 7 and an innervated Cenarius with taunts is sometimes very strong.

Yogg- the god of death still reigns. Weaker than he used to be, but I still believe he is the most fun and unpredictable comeback cards around. I usually play him when I’ve either exhausted most of my resources against control, or if I somehow make it to turn 10 against aggro warrior/shaman and need to fight for board presence.

Mulligans are simple. You hard mulligan for living roots, wrath, and Innervate against aggro, and look for ramp and fandral or barnes against control.
