Mulligans
Aggro Mulligans
Elemental, Oracle, Mistress, and Hoarder are your go to for preventing starting aggro and building up your quest log.
Kabal Courier or Shifting Shade should be kept when you have at least a 1 cost creature in hand. Courier lets you have a turn 3 drop as well as another body or spell to fill turn 4 with her battlecry. Shade brings a nice attacker, kill spell absorber, and tosses another card into your hand when dealt with.
As usual, a friend and I started off the new set by looking at what snagged and what we still wanted. We then proceedes to make decks and throw the at each other. Both chose priest and our decks were near mirror outside of 4-5 cards. This is a collaboration of those 2 decks.
This deck allows you to start of fast paced or slow it down to get a feel of your opponents deck while defending yourself. Strategy is to drop your deathrattles and throw down with a decent flow of attackers.
By turn 6 you will start up your shenanigans with cards from your opponents hero and bring in the ever so fun Moat Lurker to either clear the way for an attack or to set off your own deathrattles. Kabal Courier helps bring in extra support on the shape of bodies, heals, or kills and of you’re lucky you can grab a card to let you copy your Spiritsinger for double the fun on deathrattles.
Late game squeezes can be fixed with Volcanosaur (tank or deeps) and the Charged Devilsaur. I prefer to let Devilsaur trade damage vs enemies, kill him off with Moat Lurker, and then bring him back to take a pop shot at the opponent’s health as Moat Lurker’s deathrattle does not activate Devilsaur’s ability.
Have fun.
