Mana Wyrm is the only 1 drop, able to do value trades with 3 health and push for damage with its skill. Arcanologist pulls out a secret to make draws better and 2/3 body early is good. Sorceror's apprentice synergises well with Mana Wyrm to create tempo by pushing damage on face or playing spells with value.

Just sharing a fast paced all rounder deck that is doing decently well in the current meta(post war axe/innervate nerfs). Current win loss is 48W/22L. Currently rank 8 in October season. Hope you enjoy the deck like I do! 😀

EDIT: Cut bittertide, added Frost Lich Jaina for late game, seems to be working well

Playstyle: Play minions early, make value trades if possible, do not hesitate to use spells like fireballs and frostbolts early to remove enemy minions early(Fireball a tar creeper to push for damage on enemy face with mana wyrms+other minons). You have to juggle between trying to clear the opponent’s board while chipping in damage with minions, making high tempo plays with the secret oriented minions(Kirin Tor and Kabal Runner), and determine when to close out games with burn spells.

Stats Wise(8 Oct 2017),
More favoured matchups(W-L): Raza Priest(7-1), Midrange Hunter(9-5) , Jade/Aggro Druids(5-1), Murloc Paladin(4-1)

Less favoured matchups(W-L): Keleseth Zoolock(4-7) and Tempo Rogue(7-9)

Early Game: Mana Wyrm, Arcanologist, Sorceror apprentice are ideal early drops to contest the board and pressure

Mid Game: Kirin Tor+Secret -> Kabal Runner for pressure. Bittertide helps to push for damage as well

Late Game: Medivh to get more value out of spells like firelance portal, Antonidas to close up longer games. 1 Arcane giant is there to be played for a low cost late game to pressure as well.

Card substitutions: -1 Sorceror/+1 Kirin tor if feel that there is no need for 2 apprentice, personally i play 2 apprentice for more early game pressure and it goes well with mana wyrm to put early pressure and achieve tempo leaps.

-+Bittertide/Arcane giant: Started off playing 2 Arcane giants in the deck, but felt that it was too clunky if both were drawn early game with them usually unable to be played earlier on. Bittertide serves the same purpose as arcane giants but its a constant 5 mana, just that the drawback is his effect. It’s possible to just play 2 bittertides or 2 arcane golems, depending on your preference

-1Polymorph/+1 Meteor: Meteor is an efficient removal that can remove a big minion from the board and 2 smaller others when people do not play around it. However my preference for polymorph is that it can completely remove a minion with annoying effects like deathrattle from the board(E.G. Spikeridged steed-ed minions, Big priest’s obsidian destroyer(4/9 lifesteal taunt) and polymorph costs less

Medivh: can be cut out for another copy of Kirin Tor Mage for more consistent early game or Flamestrike for board clear. But Medivh serves his purpose well in certain slower matchups where you can get more value out of Atiesh with expensive spells like firelands portal.

Antonidas: Some variants of this deck cuts out antonidas for bonemares to be more board-centric and push for closing game outs with minions. However, I’ve considered that due to this deck’s minions generally being not very sticky on board, bonemares might not always find the battlecry being used. Antonidas on turn 7 when ahead can easily close out games as well, but try to determine if the opponent has any forms of removal to kill it. Usually they spend most removals on kabal runners and arcane giants/bittertide so antonidas might live for more than a turn 🙂

Secrets: 2 Counterspells are essential, timing for counterspell is essential as well, try to know what your opponents play and determine when counterspell could be ideal. Weaker opponents might play spells like nourish, ultimate infestation or boardclears(Dragonfire potion) into it and it can buy you more time to finish the game with your board. Mana Bind could be replaced with ice block if you want a secret to ensure Medivh Valet always gets its battlecry and some survivability to close out games with burn spells while very behind on board.
