When you have a controlling type deck your main goal is to deal with everything he has, so you basically don’t have a win condition minus throwing all your spells to face and getting lucky. Elise gives you a win condition with the legendaries you’ll get. So yes it is necessary.

Isn’t ragnaros better than medivh the guardian? I feel like medivh is just too slow and a dead card vs aggro, while rag always comes in handy.
