Mulligans
General Mulligans
As always, it depends on your match-ups. One Smugglers Run is nearly always good, as is a Doomsayer, Grimestreet Outfitter, and Mind Control Tech. For the more aggro decks (Shaman, Warrior, Rogue), Second-Rate Bruiser, your 4/5 (or more) taunt on 3 is a good choice, for the same reasons your Wickerflame will win you games if you get a bit of buff on it, and down against a minion heavy face deck. Against Reno decks, you can normally hold a Fight Promoter to try and get it to 6 to get your draw, and possibly a Grimestreet Enforcer to coin out on turn 4, could be the game nearly done. Your Horse Riders are two of the most important cards in this deck, as they are the win to the face late, or the card you are looking at to take out the 'must kill now' minions. Always good to try and buff one up, and locked and loaded.
I have been playing around with Pali with the new release, unlike most. After about 15 different iterations of the buff mechanic this is the one that I am happy to upload for you all to check out. Took this deck from rank 9 to 4 easily with a 69% win rate (20 and 9). The idea is you hold your buff for as long as possible, and getting the Grimestreet Enforcers out for as long as possible. There are a couple of targets that are ideal for Don Han’Cho, but with a deck of 3 costs you should be able to drop what it hits if needed.
The Dirty Rats. They have now been recruited into the class that they belong. Troubles with a 2/6 dealing with what it pulls? What about a 3/7, or more? got an issue with what it pulls? Aldo can take care of that, if your mind control techs do not steal it first. These combos around Rats, Mind Control Techs, Second-Rate Bruisers, and Doomsayers; all pumped of course, makes for some really fun and interesting early, mid and late games.
Jade druid is a tough match up, as is Dragon Priest, Freeze Mage, and Control Warrior. But you will, after working the deck out be getting wins against almost all other decks on a reasonably regular basis. And for the moment, no-one knows wtf is going on, and what they should be avoiding, as no-one is really playing paladin.
This is a really fun deck to play, even if it isnt quite working out. It is not the easiest to play, the rats will pull things that you can not really deal with, but if you know the current meta, you will soon work out when and how to play them.
Please all Enjoy,
Cib.
