Mulligans

General Mulligans

These are the cards you will ALWAYS want, no matter the matchup (except a cornercase for Finley).

Tips:

  1. Keep in mind not to keep too many 1-drops though. The priority of 1-drops goes as follows: Trogg, Squire, Finley (He's most important later in the game, since you may actually want some totems early for utility and TFB, so if you have another 1 drop, don't keep him. Also don't keep Finley vs classes that play aggressively like hunter, but those are pretty rare).
  2. In the past, Coin-->Totem Golem-->Trogg was the correct play vs other aggressive decks, but with the loss of Rockbiter Weapon and Abusive Sergeant, Trogg is now the correct play unless the opponent has up a Spirit Claws, Flame Imp or Mana Wyrm.

Aggro Mulligans

These help control the board. By "Aggro", I mean Warlocks and Shamans, not Hunters. Vs Mage, just keep bolt, as the other 2 cards are not nearly as useful.

Midrange Mulligans

This is Hunter and Midrange Shaman. Play aggressively, and you should win. Hunter is an easy matchup, while Midrange Shaman sometimes plays Lightning Storms, so just watch out for that. Bolt helps clear early minions early to keep the pressure going.

Combo Mulligans

This is pretty much just Rogue and Druid. Play SUPER AGGRESSIVELY, since they only win if the game goes long and have very few ways to stop you from killing them early. However, they do play a few minions, so Bolt lets you clear them without having to trade.

Control Mulligans

If it's Control Warrior, just play fast and hold back most of your fatties until they brawl. If you have the opportunity to comfortably leave them at 14 health instead of 12 or 13, try to do that as to play around Revenge. Priest is ok, so just ignore their stuff until they drop Priest of the Feast, in which case you MUST kill it. Using Hex early vs. priests is also good, since it ruins their resurrections for the rest of the game. Keep in mind, vs Paladins make sure not to overextend into a T2 Doomsayer, as that can lose you a game if you aren't carefu, so Bolt is actually ok vs Paladins if the rest of your hand is SUPER aggresive.

This is my Post-Nerf Shaman Deck. With the loss of Tuskarr Totemic, Abusive Sergeant  and Rockbiter Weapon, Aggro Shaman has lost some slots, so I decided to add Spirit Claws , Azure Drakes, Hex, Bloodmage Thalnos and Ancestral Knowledge instead of the second Doomhammer. This deck is extremely fast and aims to end the game by turn 8-ish. At the time of writing this, the deck is preforming great on ladder (Legend on October 17th, and I only pushed from rank 5 starting October 15)!

This is slower than old aggro shaman, but is still fast enough to beat the Midrange and Control decks. I think this deck is EXTREMELY well positioned right now due to the massive amounts of Midrange Shamans on ladder, but can still beat Control Warrior pretty consistently (I would guess around 40% of the time) and sometimes Secret Hunters (probably around 35% of the time, just try to curve them out without getting overload cards Freezing Traped, since if a faceless or Golem gets bounced, it’s pretty much dead). Decktrackers don’t work on my Mac, but I can take a good guess based on all the games I remember from Rank 5 to Legend.

I hope you guys try out my deck and enjoy it! If a card’s inclusion confuses you, just tell me and I’ll do my best to explain.
