Deck Import

This could be the future of the ever popular Midrange Hunter deck. Most powerful decks only get small tweaks when new cards come out, and this is for sure just a small tweak to an already powerful deck. One Bear Trap is added, along with two King's Elekk for potential card draw. Stranglethorn Tiger is a card that has seen play in Midrange, but here it serves as another chance for Elekk to win a Joust, and for a five drop to smooth out the curve. Stranglethron is also a great Houndmaster target!

I replaced one haunted creeper with flare and it works wonders.

Yeah i am getting rekt too… like no wins at all…i loose tempo and all the opponents can just remove what i throw down nice and easy while completely overwhelming me.
Sometimes i get a good start and i can survive longer but really i am not competitive

Take out Bear Trap for Explosive Trap and replace something else for a second Unleash the Hounds. You should understand that making changes may potentially weaken your other matchups.

What can I substitute for Dr. BOOM?

There’s no real replacement for Dr. Boom. You could put in a Boulderfist Ogre or War Golem as a really budget choice. You could also try a second Stranglethorn Tiger. I might just try a second Unleash the Hounds, or a Flare if you’re playing a lot of Secret Paladin.

Bear trap is awful. I dropped it for another Quick Shot. Just won 9 games straight from 15 to 11. Face hunter is no issue with the extra quick shot. But with face hunter it’s all about trading smart and waiting to win after turn 6.

I like bear trap in many situations. 1) it puts another beast on the board for Houndmaster, Kill Command and/or Ram Wrangler/Stablemaster if you use them

      2) it’s a taunt

I just can’t see Quick Shot being a better answer to Bear trap…maybe explosive trap for aggro or even snake trap.

Any replacement for a second Savannah Highmane? I’m super low on dust and want to “try before I buy” sort of thing.

This deck is great. Surprisingly I lose to Totem Shaman most often. With face hunter just match face for face; your taunts and beast synergy should help keep the advantage (it’s probably a 50/50 match up tbh).

I tried subbing in Mukla’s Champion for Savannah Highmane and it did save my butt maybe two games out of twenty but hardly worth it. So, I tried Ram Wrangler instead, with moderate success overrunning the board. Highmane is still probably best here, but I’ll give Wrangler some more games before I cave in and craft the lion.

No, Highmane is very important. You need it, no substitutes. Its 100 dust lol, not exactly breaking the bank.

I agree. Ram Wrangler has been situational at best and rarely gives a beast worth a damn. I often find him sitting in my hand because I have better cards to play.

if face hunter is really common try substituting a bear trap for explosive better as it’s better at stopping chip away damage.

Climbed from rank 7 to rank 4 with it. I substituted 1 Haunted creeper for a Lock and Load, we got enough 2 drops in the deck to sacrifice the creeper, and the LnL really serves for some late-game unpredictability (yes, im talking to you random king crush).
I will try ram wrangler insteat of stranglethorn aswell, lets see how that turns out.

Im actually taking out one Houndmaster and putting in a Ram Wrangler. So far a lot of success with it (thank you RNGesus). Also it makes your curve higher for when you joust with King’s Elekk
