Deck Import

this deck is all about killing your opponent in one turn with one hit from emperor on gahz’rilla ,tundra rhino and at least 3 pokes(maybe even 4 or more vs control warrior or just for the bm).

i have played about 20+hours with this deck so far and it is incredibly fun to play and really satisfying to pull the combo off.

of course it is no top-tier deck or something like this but it has a surprisingly high success rate.

the deck usually has better matchups against control decks ,as you lack any heals to make up for damage taken and your early game minions are just not as efficient,as nearly every one of them has a crad draw as side effect.

mulligan:

you should try to always keep emperor thaurissan,as you dont have any direct draw on him.veto every poke spell or minion and try to keep your draws(mad scientist is also a draw, even though i would not recommend you keeping it twice in your opening hand,as you only have one secret) ,animal compainions and doomsayers.

how2play:

the early game usually is drawing as many cards as possible and trying to get the combo pieces together.you should try to fight for the board,as you do not happen to have any good removal spells or anything that would really help you get back on the board.you can play a doomsayer to either counter his early drops or to just skip his turn,if he has no minions.if you have to use your hunters mark,do it,but if there is an option to keep it,i would recommend you to do so,as it can really help you to get through taunt minions standing infront of your combo.

at about turn 6-9 you usually should have your combo pieces toghether.if you dont happen to do so,try to dig onto your missing pieces with the curator and if you only miss one piece, you can use tracking.you can use your pokes to destroy minions, but keep in mind, that you need at leat 3 of them to kill your opponent from 30hp.if you have to use them, try to get your opponents hp to 24,as 2 pokes are enough with this amount of hp.

if you are loosing on the board, just try to minimize your opponents damage and stay alive until you can drop your emperor.

dont be afraid to play a coldlight on turn 9,if you miss your emperor or just any combo piece,as this deck is not designed to fight for board control after turn 8 or so,because the cards themselves are juat too weak to do so.

if you finally have your combo pieces, you can play emperor thaurissan.keep in mind, that it has to hit gahzrilla, tundra rhino and at least 3  pokes(can be 2,if you opponent lost a bit of his hp,as tundra rhino has 2 damage aswell and the 1/1 beasts from on the hunt gain charge aswell).

along with thaurissan you can either play coldlight oracle for more pokes or the draw onto hunters mark or a freezing trap/animal compainion/unleash the hounds to keep your opponent from killing you in the next turn.

if you have your hunters mark, you can combo it with the 1/1 from hunters mark to remove taunt minions.

things you may switch out:

-bloodmage thalnos:

he is not mandatory for this deck or anything,i just happened to own him,so i put him in this deck,as he grants me a draw.if you want to reeplace him,do so with another novice engineer or maybe an acolyte of pain.

-doomsayer:

it can easily be switched out for an explosive trap or just some other removal spell, that does not have too high of a mana cost,as in late game your hand will be pretty full and you usually wont have enough mana to play high cost cards,as you have to focus on getting your combo pieces together.

sir finley:

he is not as important.u usually want the warlock hero-power for more draw ,but you should be fine without it .if you want to replace him and you dont have the curator aswell,do so with an acolyte of pain or some other low-cost draw card.if you own the curator tho,i would suggest to replace him with a king’s elekk or an azure drake.

the curator:

this one can be a bit tricky,as it grants you a beast from your deck (which can either be rhino or gahz’rilla)and it draws a murloc afterwards.sadly i can’t really tell any good cards  to replace him,as his effect is fairly unique .if you have to do so anyways, try to go for a taunt minion or maybe even a cult master.

emperor thaurissan and gahz’rilla:

there is no replacement ,sorry .

if you happen to only own gahzrillah and for some reason you are relly really desperate to play this deck, you may try to play a tundra rhino protected from maybe a sludge belcher and play gahz’rilla with 3 pings in the next turn, but i guess you will be disappointed.

Good info so far as it goes, however i saw no specific info on WHAT ‘the combo’ actually is. I’m a linear thinker so I need info in-line, if you will, which means I would really appreciate the combo being listed in a do this – do that -then do… you get the picture, right? I have invested a fair amt of dust in this and feel as if I was left hanging at the end. Please help by listing shot sequence of the combo. Many thanks and I am looking eagerly forward to your reply.
