Mulligans

General Mulligans

You generally want your cheap cards in the early game. Hydrologist is a good 2 drop, or can be played on turn 3 with the secret. Acolyte is good for getting card advantage early, and stonehill is good for the same purpose. Truesilver is excellent for killing most mid game minions.

Aggro Mulligans

Mulligans against aggro is simple. Get as much of your anti-aggro cards as possible. Dirty rat, stonehill and wickerflame are great early taunts, doomsayer speaks for itself, Aldor can neutralize any imminent threats on the board and equality consecrate will often turn the tide of the game. While spikeridged steed is amazing against aggro, it is a bit too expensive to keep in your starting hand.

Combo Mulligans

What can I say? Against combo decks, pulling out the right minion can instantly win you the game. But everyone should know this by now..

N’zoth Paladin is making a comeback, with the introduction of some absolutley insane cards.

Spikeridged Steed , a card with so much value, it almost always screws up your opponent’s gameplan as soon as it’s played. Not to mention, almost always an instant win when played against aggro decks.

Sunkeeper Tarim , one of the best legendaries in the game, with the highest win rate when played right now. You can use it to neutralize your opponent’s jade golems, buff your small minions to create burst damage, or both at the same time!

Stonehill Defender , an absolute monster in value, since you are more likely to discover class cards. And what taunt minions does paladin have? Damn good ones, that’s what.

With these cards now in the mix, this deck excels in one thing especially…value. Getting multiple Tirions or Tarims from yourStonehill Defender, and then summoning a huge board late game with the best old god N'Zoth, The Corruptor. And against aggro decks, well, you use paladin’s insanely op heals, board clears and anti-aggro tools to absolutely crush them.

Do beware though, as this deck still has its weaknesses, most notably Jade Druid, the bane of all control decks. And there is always the risk of getting out tempoed by a scumbag pirate warrior.
