Mulligans

General Mulligans

These are my normal go-tos in an opening hand as they generally net good value getting me to mid game when my bigger annoying taunts start dropping along with my aoe control sets.

blood razer is very good vs weenie swarms and if i have a cornered sentry in hand i might able to wait til turn 6/5 with coin to get better value.

the rest is just early wall stall to setup for mid game when my sticky minions get me to my quest power.

This has gone through some changes since the beginning of season 41 when i started playing it in standard. most recent changes are the swap of rotface, ghoul and fishes for alexstraza and the different 2 drop taunt instead of gastropod. its been doing much better against the aggro rogue variant and other early game decks, as well as making my late game brawls much more likely to get rid of solo beat sticks in my way. I’ve been playing a slightly different version of this as my wild time passer, but after a day of throwing this one into the chaos of a meta shift due to the  recent nerfs to some stifling decks, it has really shown to be a consistent nuisance to everything I’ve faced.

My standard Mulligan’s are to have the quest turn 1, and follow up with a turn 2 armorsmith, coin stonehide or just armor up into some aoe based control options.

Of course this deck isn’t as tuned for standard yet, but the potency and potential is clearly showing through as the two decks I had issues with before have lost edge in xtype druid\pirate warrior. Highlander priest… Well… In any control match it’s gonna be a long swing game. But I can usually build up enough armor to out last the spam 4\8 damage a turn hero power while I dish out a steady 8+ a turn in the end game.
