Mulligan Guide

General

In general you want to always look for bloodsail corsair and flame tongue combo. The blood sail brings out patches and with correct positioning of the totem, you can take out any early game threat from aggro decks and even start pushing for early game pressure against control matches. The combination is especially good against quest mage as it throws them off and often they start using removal and delay their quest and with the correct timing of bloodlust or evolve, you often win the game. Do count the damage before using bloodlust cause you don't want to be one damage short of popping their ice blocks.

Against slower decks such as priest or warlock. You want to look for your Primalfin and Manada Tide or Stone hill Defender. And then follow up with Flame Tongues for that burst. Always evaluate whether you want to go face or protect your board as if you lose your board in the late stages, it is very difficult to come back.

Deck Description

This Knights of the Frozen Throne Deck can take both a control oriented approach or an aggressive approach to the game depending upon what your opponent is playing. The early burst with patches and flamtongue totem is really important against decks such as quest mage or Highlander Priest as they will often win the late game against you. Against druid, dopplegangster evolve on turn 5 or 6 is very important and always use the maelstrom portal and devolve combo handy against spreading plague. Spreading plague is the reason this deck is running two devolves against the standard single devolve. Ratting rascal is a great single target evolve after you have played Thrall.

I have been having a great time on ladder against this deck and recently went on a 10 game win streak from Rank 5 to Rank 3. The single stone hill defender is great against agro match ups where you don't draw your maelstrom and jade lighting, it also often gives you extra thing from below which is also great to control the match. Thrall will more often than not swing the game in your favor if can land the effect on the dopplegangters, but that will more often than not happen when you are behind.

This deck is a lot of fun to play as this often wins against druid (not when they ramp ramp ramp and UI you on turn 5 :P)

For a cheaper alternative Aya can be replaced by Jade cheiftan. Patches is essential to this deck.
