Prince Keleseth:

This deck works so incredibly well when you get Keleseth, and works even better when you use cards like Sonya Shadowdancer or Shadowstep with it. It lets you win the unfavorable matchups, and absolute crush every other.

Hench Clan Thug:

If you don't play Keleseth on 2, a very strong play is to dagger on 2, and play Hench-Clan on 3. This gives you a 4-4 that keeps on growing, and can get severely out of hand if they don't deal with it immediately.

Fire Fly:

Always a solid keep. Good play on 1, and a good combo activator for cards like Edwin, Vilespine, and Elven Minstrel.

Elven Minstrel:

Works well with The Coin, Backstab, or a cheap card. A very good refill, and can get you key cards in certain matchups, such as Zilliax or Sonya Shadowdancer. This is one very good card that a deck like Odd Rouge would kill to have.

This deck is similar to odd rouge, and similar to the “old school” tempo rouge that was seen back in the day when people still played Patches and Bonemare. I have been having a lot of fun with this deck, and played it from rank 2 to legend at the end of last season to climb. I had a 72 percent winrate while using this deck, going 24 and 9. I made this deck because it has almost all the good parts of odd rouge, but then it also has the ability to pull off way crazier plays. Prince Keleseth + Shadowstep is always good, and Sonya Shadowdancer is insnae at generating value versus classes like Druid or Warlock. You can get a 1 mana FungalmancerBonemareGiggling InventorElven Minstrel or even Vilespine Slayer. One of the best inclusions in this deck is Zilliax . It really helps you in those aggro matchups, like Zoolock or Odd Rouge. It works great with cards like Cold Blood, Fungalmancer, or the previously mentioned one mana Bonemare.

Why the 2 gigglings and the 2 saronite chain gangs?

Saronite works really well with Keleseth, and it helps this deck survive versus aggro. Giggling is an incredibly good card, and can give you some serious value with Sonya. It gives you bodies for fungalmancer, and bodies for Zilliax if needed.

Im so interested in this and I even have the dust for Zilliax, but I’m still not sold on the fact of crafting him tbh. Is he needed?

Zilliax is a solid craft. He is played in many mech or control decks right now. Probably the most played Boomsday legendary.

He will be around for a while, is an odd card (will work in any odd deck). Worth noting though that hes only most played because its neutral.

You can also run Zillax in a slower Quest Rogue variant if you like overkill… after you’ve played Valeera the Hollow, Giggling Inventor drops 2x 4/4 Annoy-o-Trons (as well as being 4/4 itself), sooo…

Giggling Inventor > Shadow Reflection (24/24 worth of stats on the board) and if a couple of Annoy-o-Trons survive and you’ve still not won the game, you can buff them both up to 8/8 Lifesteal next turn (Zillax + Shadow Reflection) – even with only 1 it’s still 12/12 Lifesteal.

Also works with Pogo Hopper decks since the hoppers are mechs…

So while Zillax isn’t ever *needed* – it’s about the best healing you’ll get in a Rogue deck and it slots into a couple of archetypes, so it’s a pretty safe craft if you play Rogue a lot (Pally, Warrior and Hunter can also get decent mileage out of it).
